Presser vs Bronks

Few bad selections last night.

Can’t expect our defence our left edge of xerri and Montoya managing the opposite side of the field.

Playing Burton at centre because it’s team first was dumb. It shouldn’t be up to him…and shows it wasn’t coaches first idea. We needed him in the halves…

I reckon Xerri staying on his left and having Luke Smith on the right would have been a safer solution…
Luke Smith struggled when given an opportunity. Not quite ready for this level

A lot of us are hurting bro, still hurts now as much as it did last night.

I'm avoiding the negativity not because its not valid but it doesn't help trying to get over it, fans will always hate on us and that will never change and that's why I avoid places outside the forum because its mostly negative shit and gets over board after a loss.

In the past we were hated because we were winning on the field and demolishing opposition.

Now we are not only hated but also laughed at and we are not even winning .

It’s going to happen no matter what, I’d rather get the hate because we are successful and people are salty vs being shit.

Tinker this year. We ain’t winning the comp this year

Their origin affected team were better than our origin affected team. None of our fillins would start any other week. We dont do so well with our best 2 attacking players out. We always needed more than 18 to beat broncos. Our reshuffled lineup without our x factor players wouldnt make the 8
So that begs the question - why make a tough week worse? Origin 1 loss to Porpoises now Origin 3 loss to Ponies. Origin affects several clubs when they’re doing well in the NRL - that’s not what bugs me. What bugs me are silly unnecessary calls. With rep players out sure you might give some kids minutes eg: Enari, but why the need to play a hyped 19yo just out of one of the worst systems in the league at starting 6 and to do this you move the guy you’ve spent 3 years to own 6 to 3?? That’s not the only reason we blew it last night but it certainly didn’t help and didn’t need to happen.

why wouldn’t you just put Galvin to centre if you didn’t want to touch the spine? Gus said himself Galvin can play any position so why not throw this kid out there instead of Burton even though he’s won accolades there.

The media loves to bash us as it leads to media hits/sells papers! The club was ridiculed for buying ‘utilities’ and having a smaller pack, not having a x-factor at fullback, not having a dominant big name halfback.
Yes last night was a bad result. The team was 18-0 in the first half and Brisbane had no clue on breaking the defensive line and the team forced them into errors.

Yes a lot of players playing out of position, but if it comes to a big game (possible semi final) and we have players off with HIA or injuries or sin bins, players will have some experience out of position. Xerri can play on the right. Burton can go to centre Kiraz can go to fullback. Preston can go to centre. Hayward can go to dummy half or in the halves. Galvin can play either.
The team will learn from this that they need to value the ball better. Bench/interchange probably wasn’t used as well as could have been but it’s done now.
Again and I know I go on about it but the inconsistency of officials is an issue and I’m sadly sure a grand final/premiership will be decided by a wrong call
Walters try came from a play the ball that was not struck by the foot.
Brisbane got a six again call that led to a try from a questionable 6 again.
Piggyback penalties given led to broncos tries

Yes we ‘choked’ in the last 15, I feel last week took a lot out of the team with emotion and energy, it’s a tough part of the year for the club and adjusting to having the missing contingent of Crichton, Kiraz, King and Mann to origin (all keys to our success the last 18 months) Tupounia, Salmon and Saluka-Fifita out with injury is tough.

Cirro was not happy with the end result, he won’t throw players under the bus in the open of a press conference or give the media fuel with ‘Well the constant media speculation on contracts and signings has mind f%#ed the side’

Certain journos want to bash us as they have an agenda against Gus/the club.

Trust the process! If someone had told me two years ago we would make the semis in 24 and be in the top four with a bit of a gap to fifth in 25 I would take it. Gus had a ‘five year plan’ that took nearly ten to achieve. Look at the dogs after 3 or so years he has been there when we were a basket case and couldn’t sign players where now players want to play for them

The most simple and less disruptive option was to play Galvin in the Mann role, FFS its not that complicated...

I suspect that’s their long term plan once manns contract is up I think woods will partner Burton in the halves in time

No, im talking about now.

He should of used LG like he uses Mann.

He’s not a centre.
I didn’t hear Gus say that but if so it’s wrong.
He‘s probably ultimately a 6 or possibly 13 due to his height if he bulks up a bit but he’s not ready for either at NRL level. I think he only debuted last year as Benji was desperate for a 6. You don’t have to do much to shine at the Tigtanic, but the hype has been exposed and if we keep this up not only do we put our season at threat we possibly dent the confidence of a kid who needs more development. I thought our club was smarter than this. Put him in Cup. Let him develop and learn our systems properly like Woods is (who’s the same age). Hell, let them build a nice combo at 6 and 7 in Cup until they’re both week-to-week NRL ready - which for mine Galvin is not. His bubble needs to burst.

This is why I'm sure Moses came with a "now or never" offer.

Gus buckled and said now when it should of been "later" IE next year.

Galvin didn't lose us the game last night.
He didnt win it for us either.

The game was lost because the forwards where totally dominated in the second half.
They lost the collision very badly.
So many dropped ball at the collision.
I didn't watch the press conference.

In some respects I think that 2nd string Broncos pack may have bitch slapped us into next season?

I hope I'm wrong.

Than Galvin signs with Parra and this place would have sooked about it.

Fuck this place, our team is more important than a site with a few whinging, low IQ gronks.
The new Koala of this place has royally stuffed us big time.

The second they took the 2 they just dropped their shorts and asked for a fucking.
