Sione Katoa is one of the players refusing to get the flu shot and the government has come out today and said the NRL told them that all players will have the shot as one of their conditions to playing again.

So we could be down another player and JMK the only hooker in the squad.

All our recruits and extensions have been poor value recently

I think with CHN gone and what we currently have that Elliot needs to be on the edge.

Yh if Elliott ever returns then I'd also have him on the edge and then start To'omaga or Britt. If not then Britt on the edge.

BTW I had a weird dream last night where the footy started earlier for some reason and a lot of the boys weren't ready so we put together a makeshift team. DWZ was playing lock and was MOTM with a massive performance so I think we should play him there from now on

I know Holland is weak defensively but i would love to see the combo of him and Reimis again. Would very happily have Wakeham or Cogger in for Lewis if the Prince has another 1-2 average games. Wakeham to run the team while Foz can run and straighten the attack. Bring Averillo on when forwards are getting tired to wreak some havoc out wide. That to me is a team that could win some games if they can play good attacking footy. Offloads, support runners and f*#kin hard hitting defence!

Honestly I don't know why anyone would want to see more of Lewis @ halfback and DWZ @ fullback anymore.. like we need so much more in these positions and there's players in the squad that can potentially offer a hell of a lot more. I don't think we need to see anymore of them in these roles moving forward.

If Foran plays I would like to see Wakeham at 1/2. I think he needs an experienced 5/8 alongside him to give him confidence and to push him into having a go, use his skillset. I don't have that same opinion if the others halves play, they simply don't have the experience to give him what he needs right now.

Does anyone know who the Dogs have added to their top 30 list - reference has been made to 30 players returning to training but my understanding is they only have 27 players available atm.

On the topic - DWZ was woeful at fb first two games - catching of the highball was Barba circa 2010

Maybe so but we've seen the best Katoa has to offer imo.

Katoa is a good defender not so good attacker i cant believe we bought him. Panthers got rid of him for a reason.

Was behind Kenny and Egan at the Panthers. When they signed Koroisau he was surplus to requirements (as well as Egan). Had a trade look no look forward pass out of dummy half. Not really sure what his strengths are in attack.

Yeah trade mark into the guys shoulder or gets them belted. I seen him play alot of intrust super cup. Can whack in defense though. If u want a des hasler style 9 he can get the errors out his game

This is our biggest problem, no Foran and we score maximum 2 tries per game if we’re lucky. I do think DWZ is a good winger though and JMK is a good #14, we need a creative fullback and hooker though and watch the wins start to come.

The recruitment targets should be hooker, fullback, center and maybe second rower who runs good lines and offloads (CHN is a big loss), unless we bring through one of the younger guys with potential in this position. If we filled those spots with specialists in these positions instead of makeshift ones we would have a very good team with what the rest of the squad is like.

Maybe with a new club and new coach josh dugan could refind some form. He was an aus centre at one stage

buy granville from the cowboys 2yr deal hes 31 hes got 2yrs maybe 3 left a change is as good as a holiday for some players

And sometimes they are passed their used by date at that age. Granville relies heavily on his running game and he has lost a step or two of pace. I wouldn’t be very keen on signing him.
