PNG as the expansion team

The NRL will provide $15m+ per season in the Annual Grant (same as the other teams). Which will be more than enough to run the team in PNG.

The Australian Government (that's really means you & me) will give them $6m a year for 10 years. Which will be more than enough to upgrade their grounds, centre of excellence etc etc to a level as good as any NRL team. Plus provide whatever level of security makes the team, players and opposition safe. The PNG Government has promised to match that.

They already have multiple sponsors/advertisers lining up to be involved.

There is no chance that they will run out of money, ever.

The tax incentives will attract a large number of fringe NRL and State Cup players, add that to the local players that will grow over time

It won't matter if they never win a single game, that's not relevant.

Didn’t they all say that about Dolphins still Wests Tigers found a way to be last and Dolphins without any marquee players so the media says been mostly competitive and this year finished a bunker call away from 8th spot.

Png wont get many or if any marquee players from the nrl they'll most likely have to make do with there own players from png

Dolphins have only signed rejects and 2 first graders one barely played a game. I still back PNG to finish one above last lol
 
Dont think theres 60 NRL level players in reserves and definately not enough good halves.. Many NRL teams dont have quality halves as it is..
 
Dumb Albosleazy, wow a footy team isn't stopping China, sooner your out the better, next election.

Fucking disaster... Absolutely stupid decision which will add no value to the comp whatsoever. Only way they will be able to fill a squad with semi decent players in by raiding all the PNG players from the ESL and weakening their competition. Pointless exercise
