Would love one of

Ponga
Mitchell
Munster (no hope, but I don’t think the other 2 are either)

- we need to snag 1 of them

Then

* Papenhyzun (if no Ponga)
* One of Xerri / Lomax / Ramien / Staggs
* Luai (the Penrith 5/8)
* Koroisau or Brandon Smith or see if Robson is officially with Cowboys yet?
* Haas or RCG (he could be a gun again)
* Welch (would ideally love Finucane back)

Keep
DWZ
CHN
Jackson
Smith
Foran (reduced a bit - I don’t think he’d get that money elsewhere anyway)
Napa
Stimpson
Lewis (I think he could be a good 14 if he learnt some hooker work)
Okunbor (develop the kids game on the wing)
Harper
Renouf
Ogden

I hope the board are smart enough to be keeping an ear out for players that are decent, under contract and maybe their club needs to move them on due to salary cap restrictions etc.

Looking at off contract players there's not a massive number of good players around for next year tbh.

whole new team with this backline would be the dream
1. Papenhuyzen
2. DWZ
3. Cotric
4. Xerri
5. Smith
6. Munster
7. Flanagan
Its as if all clubs just rollover and let their best talent go for nicks because the bulldogs come a looking. Why not just name an Australian side backline and be done with it? We should target a backline of Tedesco Ado Carr Oates Mitchell Chambers Munster and Cherry Evans if we are serious about winning a comp. See how stupid that sounds?

Wake up to yourself dickhead... I think the word 'dream' implies it won't happen. But thanks for pointing it out for me.

These guys are experienced enough.

Name guys then that we should target.
Between them all they average 40 NRL games. Take out Nofoaluma and Koroisau and they average 27 games. Barely a full season of NRL footy! That ain't experienced.

We already have these types of players. We need to do a similar thing to 2008-2009 and go after guys like Kimmorley, Ennis, Eastwood, Stagg and Hannant. Those guys at the time were established first graders.

I know I'll cop flack for this, but here's a few off contract players that come to mind:

- Andrew McCullough
- James Segeyaro
- Sosaia Feki
- Dylan Walker
- Issac Luke
- Ethan Lowe
- Mitchell Aubusson

We can dream bro, I'd take that backline all day!

Here's the thing, he stated it is a dream, yes, but while it wont happen, its not that farfetched, Papenhuyzen, Xerri, Flanagan are not entrenched first grade players where they are.
They would be with us, especially if you did snag Munster to compliment DWZ.
We can dream!

He has everything in his favour at the Storm and still looks really average. He would be even worse at any club.

Aubusson will never leave the Roosters and the rest of the players that you named besides Lowe are passed it. What an ugly list.

Echoed my thoughts exactly, I've never understood the hype around this kid.

Alright mate you go and sign more kids in this already young and inexperienced side.

People said Kimmorley was past it. He nearly got us to a GF in 2009.

I really think a world class half and top 2-3 Hooker in the game to realistically win a Comp without having superstars in every other position
Ie-roosters
And even Friend was a top 5 Hooker last year.
Foran on 500k with
An elite half and pretty much elite Hooker would be a good and possible start.
Cook and Thurston will go down as two of the biggest retention mistakes in twenty years:
Cook will probably be Dally M this year.
Just can try and laugh I guess lollololo
