Gould doesn't really want to be CEO. He'd rather sit in his high horse from a distance and talk problems but never actual solutions.

Go back to your 5 year plan Gus.
100% this. Gus would rather take pot shots than take control and be accountable.

Media personalities don't often make the leap. They are paid rapper money, and can pass judgment, get following and not be accountable. Just not respond of totally floored by a comeback or counter argument.

Having said that I think we could do worse than Gould. He has some admin background.

I'd like to see a politician get involved. Such as a Malcolm Turnbull or Mark Latham. Someone who can pull strings.

or a smart Ex player. Corey Payne, Webcke, Ennis or Hindmarsh.

Definitely NOT Bennett. He is not a leader. He's camera shy as a coach for goodness sake, how can he be the head of our game?
Actually he isn't.

What he does, keeps him in the media spotlight.

It takes the spotlight from his team if they have a shit of a game. It's worked brilliantly for years. :tearsofjoy:

Bennett's best trick is having everybody believe he hates the media, when in fact he is buddy buddy's with more media personnel than any of the other coaches, and has had them doing favours for him for years

Wouldn't consider Hindmarsh to be smart TBH.
Ben Ikin would probably do a pretty good job of it. Seems pretty intelligent and measured, agree with most things he mentions on NRL 360 when it comes to the right direction for our game going forward.
It's only a matter of time before Captain Cockhead aka Shitstain Smith is controlling our code anyway. He seems to get a rails run with everything else when it comes to the NRL.

Yeah id like to see them with someone that speaks well with genuine knowledge and experience playing the game.
People like ikin or brandy and u partner them with a gordan tallis, someone who will not take nonsence and stop them from doing something stupid.
Id like to see some more ex players in there. And not lockyer hes part of the reason for changing the game too much, fuck him off too with penis head.

Which spastic Orangutan suggested these two to run the NRL?
Whenever NRL starts up again there is going to be a lot less money in the economy & certainty much less in Rugby League.
Greenturd has been justifiably criticised for letting spending run out of control.
The next CEO of the NRL will have to be a toe-cutter who's focus will be to cut the running costs of the NRL so that the game is able to deal with reduced broadcasting rights and reduced advertising income.

When Gould just talks footy he makes sense and is worth listening to - when he tries to be funny he is embarrassing.
Danny Buderus presents well and seems clued into what the game is about.
Someone with a genuine understanding / enthusiasm of and for RL culture, and a commitment to the game and not just a few clubs, would be a good choice along side the business orientated Vlandys.

Probably be better off to have Vlandys in total control. Dont replace Greenberg and get rid of the useless Commission.

I seem to remember when Greenburg first got the gig, people here thought it was the best news ever.

The CEO has to be able to tell clubs, if they have to rely on NRL handouts to survive, they area chance of being booted out.

6 tackles with Gus podcast, Bracey asked Gould flat out if he'd be up for the job if it was an option and he said no. Said he wasnt a CEO so why would he fill the job. Said he wouldnt know how to be CEO, that the position needs to be filled by someone with credentials as a CEO.

Just no Bennet please. He is a cutthroat snake. He loves Sam Burgess that much he pushed out Richardson at Souths and is pushing for Burgess to be CEO.

Whoever takes over I hope they look at rule interpretations with the the goal of speeding up the game and promoting ball movement. Seems over the last decade that a drop ball must be a knock on - if in doubt play on. Also with dominant tackles - some one on one tackles can look spectacular, are effective but are not rewarded, in fact a textbook dominating one on one tackle generally leads to a quick play the ball. That type of tackling is being coached out of the game - better to just stop the runner, hold them up and get two other team mates to slowly wrestle them to the ground.
