Not the way to get change through mate. HBG board wouldn't be able to pass that. Plus, as i said, don't think that is needed for success.

None of the NRL mergers have worked, why? Because they remain divided. The only fix is to remove all of the things that enable the division.

One of the major things I do for corporations is to turn many teams into a fully functional single team. In order to achieve that all of the divisions must be recognised, acknowledged by all and eradicated.

I'm happy for balmain to sail off too. HBG calling the shots anyway. They run the club fine, just not the NRL team. Two different skillets.

I know you guys had some infighting at club level right? I don't think it was structural? Happy you got it sorted and are through it all.

Tigers are essentially led by 18 people now. These 18 have 5 board seats on the HBG board which gives them control over WT board.

They're call debenture holders. But it's $100 in and they get a lifetime appointment. Cannot be voted out by members. Absolute rort. They own nothing.

They just kicked out the only two directors voted in by members over trumped up chsrges. Plus 1 debenture holder who was aligned with them. Thoze 3 were trying to implement the structural reform.

Had a connection years ago through my old man. Haven’t seen him in many years but remember him as a tough bastard who rarely takes backward steps - which might explain part of the issue but also why Balmain won the 1969 GF - he was one tough prop forward.

I’ve got extended family who are diehard Tigers fans and although I’ve had varying degrees of sympathy over the years being a staunch Bulldog, I reckon they’d be lost to the game without their club as I think there’s a chance I would be if my club wasn’t around - so for the sake of the members and fans at least hopefully it gets sorted. Wonder how Luai is feeling…

Can't believe I found this here.

Looking around for news re this wests tigers situation and someone bagging the club on other clubs forums.

Only started following the tigers in 2002 but dad was a wests fan.

Really I mean this is crap, l love both foundation clubs histories but really what's happening here is the Wests side of the club helped balmain out and fund their juniors over 12 million last few years and some former Balmain guys are trying to screw the management of the club which obviously is controlled by HBG so they can get their guys in.

Good news for Wests Tigers fans. The appointment of Charlie Viola as an independent board member is a really great thing for them. I know Charlie through Motorsport activities and he is a very smart operator and savvy businessman.
