The Canterbury-Bankstown Junior Rugby League are proud to announce the launch of the inaugural Peter Moore Bulldogs Academy.

The Academy will deliver a new strategic approach to engaging, developing and upskilling our junior league players and coaches in 2019.

Headed by NRL coach Dean Pay and his football staff, the Academy participation program will embark on a new era of professionalism and service to our junior league by placing a greater importance on participation and the development of core rugby league skills.

The program will focus on the up-skilling, education and development of junior league players and coaches in the local area.

Limited to 500 players and coaches registered in the Canterbury-Bankstown Junior Rugby League in either tackle or league tag options of our game, this is your chance to be coached by the NRL clubs elite high-performance staff.

Held at Belmore Sports Ground, the Academy is FREE and will run for four months. It is open to 10 to 14-year old girls and boys, as well as coaches and trainers.

The junior league has been a mess for a few years so its good to see some initiative taken.

There has been a lot of positive changes and junior numbers have been growing again.

Great initiative. With local area, and mid north coast roots, the club is strategically setting itself up to bring players through the grades.

I'd like to see us herald the Mortimers and set up roots in Riverina as well, as there's a lot of untapped talent around that area.

Cap that off with talent scouts floating around the South Pacific islands, and in NZ, and we have a bright pathway for juniors and talent.
