Penrith Panthers name 2010 Top Squad

The Panthers yesterday showed off their new recruits while announcing their 2010 Top Squad.
Five players have joined the club for the 2010 season however it iwas a lte buying spree that secured four of them. David Simmons from the Sharks was the only mid-season buy and he conceded he was a liitle worried he would be the only new player.
"For a while there I thought it just me coming to the club," Simmons said. "I was the only buy for the club until they picked up quite of few guys at the end of the season.
"I'm glad I'm not the only new guy here at the club, that would have felt a little weird."
Adrian Purtell (Raiders), Daine Laurie (Tigers) and Kevin Kingston joined Simmons for the first media briefing however fellow recruit Nigel Plum was absent. Plum was unable to join the Panthers family yesterday instead he spent the day welcoming his first child (a daughter) into his family.

Daniel Penese is also a good prospect.
Wide running second rower with a great offload.

Waddell has really struggled with that knee injury from about 2 seasons ago.
He has had it cleaned out a few times after the original surgery.
If he stays fit - he is an enormous talent.

good point, but to me it still looks like a strong team. I'd expect them to make the top 8 next year

The problem is the coach. He is terrible....

Player wise, its not a bad lineup, the new signings add a bit of depth.

Penrith has a good pack and they do have a few strike players, Jennings, Prichard and even Waterhouse can cause problems when they are on their game.

This team is such an enigma.

I really don't see them going far next year. They've got a good enough team to make the 8, but they're missing that oomph factor.

His record is terrible, his in game tactics are rotten....he is just terrible.
