So we trade a stud for a dud? If that’s the best the board can get for CHN then they did much worse then pay who walked away. So hopefully they do the same.

Like a few have suggested if raiders are interested then like for like Cotric makes sense. If we lose a rep for Lafai then we really are the dumbest club in the nrl. Lafai was past it 4 years ago when he left us. Silly for us to go all out for him now. Hope it’s just dumb journalism.
Even then it wouldn't make sense for Cotric as we could sign him with cap space for next season and still keep CHN or swap him with another club for another player.

The amateurs running the club inspire zero confidence.

ok fair enough bro

, BUT to be on tinder you need to be 18+ and so if she was 18+ then shes an adult. No "ifs or buts". He didn't meet her at the school clinic or at another school. He met up with her at a pub and they went from there. He deserved a minor punishment. Droppe to veggies, a few games suspension or a fine. NOT a torn-up contract.
He was deregistered by the nrl? Wtf do you want the club to do lol

Fight it. Period.
Not agree to everything the NRL had to say or at least come out and inform the general public and members of the media who were having a field day with the incident. They at no point clarified that CHN indescretion was clearly different and in no way related to dick head Okeburs and shouldn't be painted with the same brush as what dick head Okeburs was.
They have a duty of care to their staff too not just the "victims" who were the girls. The least the could have done is cleared up the differences between the two players scenarios.

Has to be the funniest quote I've seen for a while.

I believe the age limit to use Facebook / Instgram etc. is 13+ right? So that means everyone using those social media platforms are over 13? Come on now.

Look. It's been pointed out to you already that he's a repeat offender. No one thinks he should've been tarred with the same brush as JO but stop crapping on that he deserved a slap on the wrist. All of the players would've been fully aware of their responsibilities and duties to the club. Taking into account the problems we've been having as a club, it was vital for the club that the players simply played by the rules. He didn't.

Why do you feel the club, the players, the supporters for some reason owe him something?

Dragons and Bulldogs consider Lafai-Harawira-Naera player swap

Corey Harawira-Naera could resume his NRL career at St George Illawarra as part of a player swap that would result in Tim Lafai immediately shifting to Canterbury.

The development comes as the Dragons refuse to release Jason Saab this season, with the winger’s fate likely to be decided by the club's board at the end of the year.

Harawira-Naera is eligible for a first-grade return as soon as next week after his sacking, and that of Bulldogs teammate Jayden Okunbor, was overturned by the NRL’s appeals committee.

The Kiwi international wanted to speak to Canterbury officials before deciding whether to stay put, although reports suggest he resents the club’s handling of the Port Macquarie incident that threatened his career.

Canberra, Wests Tigers and the Warriors are also keen on Harawira-Naera’s services, with the Raiders desperate to add him to an injury-affected roster. However, the proposed player swap with the Dragons provides a ready-made solution if he wants a fresh start.

Lafai and Harawira-Naera are on similar salaries, meaning neither would be out of pocket and there would be minimal effect on either club’s salary cap for this year. The Red V also has the cap space to accommodate him next season as they contemplate the long-term make-up of their pack.

The Bulldogs are hopeful Lafai will soon be able to join them regardless given they released Morgan Harper early to join Manly.

The joint-venture outfit is scheduled to meet with Jack de Belin next week in a bid to gauge his interest in re-signing. The NSW lock remains suspended under the NRL’s no fault stand-down rule, but that hasn’t stopped the Warriors from offering him a lucrative deal contingent on him being acquitted of sexual assault charges.

It remains unclear if and when de Belin’s trial will be held, but the Dragons want to know his intentions. The 29-year-old continues to train with the team while in exile even while the parties are unsure about whether a return is possible.

De Belin continues to be paid his $595,000 salary for this year, with his market worth unlikely to be greatly affected even if sidelined for two seasons.

The Dragons met with Saab and his family this week to discuss his situation after the teenage flanker again requested a release on compassionate grounds. The parties resolved Saab would remain at the club until the end of the year, with the board to review the situation then.

My god... surely there is someone somewhere willing to give us more than Tim fucking lafai who was going to come anyway absolutely embarrassing. If Corey wants out so bad let him sit there until we get a decent offer. He’s fucking us over so who cares stop putting everyone else’s thoughts and feeling before the interests of the club

Think it's just journos clutching at straws. The club is keeping everything, absolutely everything in house so they're making stories whereever they can.

Widely whispered that we were in for Lafai before this ruling, now all of a sudden it's going to be a swap. Nah.

Sounds like Lafai is coming regardless how is this even called a swap?
I was thinking the same thing mate surely this is a media beat up... you’d think the club and CHN should be able to work it out...

So you think the club lied to the nrl during the whole situation and didn't relay on all the information available to them? It's not the clubs choice what the media puts out. If the differences were never made public why is it that everybody knows them?He made his bed, with a school girl and he had to lay in it. He has nobody else to blame but himself. Any blame on the club is just a cop out. And the club has done a bunch of other stupid shit but the way they handled this was completely standard. CHN is a dog to his team mates plain and simple, good riddance

LOLLLL that's his legal obligation cleared. She was using a platform that the legal age to use is 18+ and then she was at the pub with him for a meal again a requirement is 18+ so that's why I'm saying they shouldn't have been painted with the same brush but they were and the club did nothing to clear the bs from the media. He met her on an app, not at a school or some clinic. They had consensual sex and as for being a repeat offender the club hasn't disclosed this information at any point so until they do its just rumour and innuendo.

The club stated clearly why he was in trouble. That he brought a woman back to his room.

The rest the NRL took up. They took over the punishments handed out and the last thing the club needed was a fight with the NRL over this. Why would they? CHN had two prior indescrections with the club. Two. The club supported him then. How would it have looked at that time had we gone into bat for him again when AGAIN he's gone against the clear rules of the club and NRL?

I don't like that he was painted with the same brush. I don't think it was fair. The issues were different to a degree in that he didn't pick up anyone at a school. But the crimes were essentially the same with taking a girl home to the team hotel.

Yeah I think that's most likely the case and it's all BS. Still, with how this club has been run you can't rule out anything.

So basically you're saying one player is more important than the club? Doesn't matter what they do, if they're good then we should keep them no matter what?

Dreary me. But this 'intelligence' is to be expected from you.

Then elaborate on your views. You keep saying that we need him because we've lost so many games. So what you're saying is that his multiple past indescrections mean nothing because we need him playing.

Do you care about JO coming back?
