Didn't do much in attack but was brilliant in D, NSW worse was without doubt Maloney, kicks it dead 2nd tackle 10m out, knock on in the opposition 20, instead of going for a field goal when up by 12 he puts in an aimless bomb and qld make 50m from it and then he misses the tackle that gives away a try, gets his kick charged down then misses the tackle again to concede the try, was an all round clusterfuck from him

Maloney was the main play maker to get nsw to the 12 point lead but he fucked up a few times to let QLD back in the game rocks or diamonds sort of a player at least he got involved Pearce did fuck all until that last cut out pass

I think you watched a different game, there was no main playmaker, they played different sides of the field and Maloney didn't have a hand in any of the tries, Pearce won the penalty to get us in position for the Tedesco try and then gave the final pass as well. Maloney had one of his worse games in attack and especially in defence where he had 10 missed tackles and let in 2 tries

Of course every story today was about how great Pearce played and how he totally redeemed his Origin career. Never mind that he did nothing all game except kick to the back three on the full.

And then when Teddy scores at the end he runs to the crowd by himself like it was all about him. Maybe celebrate with your teammates because they're the ones that carried you all game and saved you the embarrassment of still having never won a series.

You forgot to mention that he lead line spead and kick chase, shut down multiple attacks by himself.

What the fuck was DCE thinking not going for field goal with less 2 mins to go.

It was because Mbye took about 20 seconds to play the ball because he tried to milk a penalty and then looked at the ref for another 10 seconds before playing the ball. Maybe the dumbest play of the series and shows how little awareness the guy has.

DCE was more worried about taking a rushed shot and missing because of the slow play the ball and giving NSW a seven tackle set so they could take a good shot themselves.
