I think it was me and wendog who suggested this a month ago. Where’s our retainer ??

Agree 3 years risky but he is a winner who is exactly what we need
Absolutely not. Injury prone, and not what we need...which is a ball playing forward. He is too much like what we have in spades already. A big pass from me. Kenny Bromwich....that's another story.

Would be great for leadership however he is on the decline and not worth the price tag

Yep that’s your opinion.

The idea around Finucane was that we need some forward leaders. He has been at the storm in a great system and is a leader down there.

Jacko has been in a losing side for too long. I just think Finucane can bring something that we are lacking.

Agree re injuries though so the deal would need to reflect that

I lost my shit on here back when hasbeen moved him on (was told by many on here he was overrated and wouldn’t be missed).

That said I think the time has passed for any return, he’s too old for a long term contract and I think we’d be better looking for a younger forward

Yes 100% but only if we get rid of both Elliot and Jackson...

My view, Finucane is definitely competent, but I didn't see anything before he left us that made me think he should be retained and I haven't seen anything in his time at Melbourne that has me changing that opinion. He is a small cog in the large Melbourne wheel and as such often looks better than he actually is, hardly the first player to do so.

As if anyone would say no to Dale? Would be awesome to bring him back if we can maybe fuck Elliot off? lol

Would be interesting tho.. if we take him, would that give Storm more room to keep BSmith? If so, we could be in the running for Clark (UK) or even Hodgson. Mmm

No from me. I wouldn’t want to bring anyone good into the team that would challenge Waddells position in the side. Waddell is a protected species so let’s keep it that way.

He’s better than both , des and his fkn love child She-Rex pushed him out the door along with Marty Kapow
Idk why people keep blaming Williams, it was Eastwood who was playing lock ahead of Dale and it's why he left. Should've been our starting lock.

Eastwood was the better player. Yes he went downhill in his last year or two but you can’t deny he was playing really well for us before that

Ive been a fan of the dogs since 1998! I have seen teams, players, eras that most here havent over the years. Just something i learnt over time.
in 2004 we had ball breakers like mason, O meley, Ray asotasi, paul rauhihi but these units were offset by players named grimaldi, price, gillies. toilers that came cheap and did the grunt work to allow the ball breakers to shine.

Then u had a guy like reni maitua who was a player that could worm his way into the forwards, backs, wherever needed basically.

playerds who do a bit of grunt and a bit of bash but are neither an expert in none is our downfall, we have plenty. these are like 'all rounders'.
Its why the indian test team doesnt pick capable all rounders, buit specialists, and why they are the greatest team of today and amongst the best of all time!!!
hey guy,

can you please use spell check

i think our problem is we have too many 2 bit forwards.
Capable players that do a bit of this and do a bit of that. Atoni, etc.

What we need to do is learn from the indian cricket team, team India!, where they have 6 bats, 4 bowlers and an all rounder

We need to have x amount of ball breakers. big boppers that bend the line and scare little kids, and x amount of aiden tolman worker bees that solidigy the defence and do the tackles and minutes. Then have someone in between who can flexx between both.
At the moment we have players who can tackle a bit but dont do huge mins and hit a bit but dont hit heavy like the ending of bojack horsemen.

Who with me on this?
hey guy,

glad you admitted you are indian

He wasn't better at the time, he should've been benched and then never re-signed. No point worrying about it now.

Good old She Rex Williams. Just look at his head. Its hard not to blame him.
Then theres his american rugby league career...... oh wait.
I think this is why people are drawn to blaming williams even tho he may not be the whole reason.
