Tug of war for Kiwi giant

The Bulldogs and Warriors are involved in a bitter battle for promising Kiwi forward Ofahiki Ogden.

A former Junior Kiwi and New Zealand under 16s and under 18s representative, Ogden is at the Warriors but has agreed to play for the Bulldogs next year.

But the Warriors are attempting to change the 21-year-old’s mind, with coach Stephen Kearney desperate to keep the young prop or second-rower in Kiwiland.

Big and strong, Ogden has been a standout for the Warriors in both the Holden Cup and NSW Cup in the past four seasons and the club sees him as a future first grader.

But the Bulldogs, who will lose several players due to their salary cap woes, are looking for cut price players with ability and Ogden fits the bill.

I just hope that some good form with the Warriors can translate to excellent form for the Bulldogs. RFM would have to be the best we have got from them in a long time........

Im dead against racism and im sure that most people with half a brain are as well. But in this case i think it was just a joke. Unfortunately some people took it in a bad way, but it wasnt racist.
My surname is hancock, and let me tell you that kids had a fucking ball with that name at school. No oun intended. Lol but not for one minute did i consider it racist because of my anglo saxon background.
Do you see what i mean? Perhaps bad taste on a national tv program, but not racist.

Kearney desperate to keep him is a bad sign. We are short on great edge forwards at the moment. Ours are too soft.

    The club is soft.

If they had some balls we would still be producing our own great forwards.
But we rolled over to the political correctards and moved on most of the staff that were responsible for junior development.

I hear you, people are way too sensitive and PC these days, it makes my skin crawl. I had to grow up with Pitt as a surname so I won't even bother explaining the fun I had with that one. My conclusion is all races are full of fukwits and if that is racism than so be it. Couldn't give two shites tbh.

It's only racist if you hold your opinion of the minority to the majority.

I think that Greenburg was responsible for allowing all our quality coaching staff get scalped from the lower grades. I get the impression that he was always using the club as a stepping stone to move on to bigger things.

This guy is described as a "hit man". He may be just that in the under 20's. But he's 102kgs and 192cms. Hardly big enough to be a real hitman.

Attitude plays a big part in these things. With the interchange being scaled back I think that the tendency towards running out with a monstrous pack is going to change and if this guy offers impact I'm happy for him to earn a place in the team.

Hope your right. Him and RFM might make a good second row combo.

Haha , "Hancock" was a move in under 15s/16s for us , a high bomb from the left side of the field over for the right winger in the corner, think they named it after Craig not Micheal lol..

Can we get some fast and skillful backs please? Don't understand the obsession with cumbersome looking forwards.
