The dogs website has all 13 - Todd is listed as a reserve !!!!! - Hoffman Tetavano on the bench ahead of him - dont understand that - Poasa Patolo Edwards starting middles - highly likely more changes before kick off.
Yeah for some reason poasa at 8 isn't on the nswrl site. Todd has been starting prop last few games against good sides with big middles with NRL experience/potential and had been a bit dominated. His second stint coming on when fatigue has set in and he can use his footwork has been good. Lippo went to Ron Massey for a week and then had a good game in cup. They may drop Todd back to flegg (if eligible) or Masey to build up his confidence. If eligible It could be good to see him drop back to flegg and get flegg back winning, he would dominate at that level. Hoffman was actually pretty good last week, probs one of our best with lipoi. From what we have seen in his first few games we are not getting much out of Tetavano. Turpin also needs to be much better. From what I have seen (on tv so hard to tell) lipoi and Todd seem about the same weight with todd being a bit taller. However lipoi, like poasa runs nice and low rugby union style so is hard to tackle. Todd, runs more upright and tries to palm, use footwork to push trough tackles, however when the defence is fresh and quality he can get hit hard. May need to adapt to different times of the game. If both could get to Preston/Currans weight 103-105 kgs, they will dominate cup and could then go on to be part of our answer to our NRL forward problems.

The nsw cup side havent played well in the two games iv seen - factors both Tetavano n Patolo coming back from long breaks out doesnt help with rotations n balance but most disappointing have been some of the individual defensive efforts by players imo.

Don't look as enthusiastic as early on.

Reserve grade is a mystery - players on their way out realising their opportunities have passed them by, players on clear direct instruction to work on one aspect of the game "stay in that lane", part timers filling in and perennial reserve graders happy just to be part of it - result of the game becomes irrelevant. Iv always preferred a reserve grade side in which the majority of the players believe they are on the way up - have their careers ahead of them - seem to bring much more energy n enthusiasm to the game. IMO the dogs atm have an abundance of the former.

N they are just missing a captain/leader. I think that was supposed to be tetavano but he seems to get gassed too quick. Edwards coming back should help with that. Edwards and Poasa are big ins.
