JMK is truly lightning and any other year he would make sense, but isnt Cook the beach sprint australian champ or something? Cook is more lightning in todays era.

It is possible that Cook is more agile than fast, he hits top gear straight away.

You guys may remember Billy Slater, who retired last year. Billy was exceptionally agile and quick off the mark and gave the illusion he could be the quickest in the comp.
He was anything but though, he was mediocre in open space when players had a chance to run him down. Probably as quick as someone like Corey Thompson

If I could have one thing in the NRL it would be a skills test similar to how the NFL do.
I would love to see a 40m dash and 100m sprint in a track setting.
And followed up with a footy boots on grass speed contest.

And strength test of some sort. extend it to hardest tackler.

Maybe jumping and that too.

I'd agree.. Cook would be good over 50m but i'd put my mulla on JMK over 100m.
