It's been reported NRL players have agreed to pay cuts on the back of the competition lockdown and COVID-19 outbreak however whenever there's a material change to a contract you can bet the legal eagles will be circling. The Mole writes about some of the chat coming out of Super League in Britain.

NRL players are set to closely monitor legal action in Britain in which Super League players could walk away from their deals if made to take pay cuts.
A leading English lawyer has declared that contracts could be null and void - and players free to switch clubs or go to rugby union - if they object to their wages being slashed.
Wigan Today website’s leading journalist Phil Wilkinson spoke to sports lawyer Richard Cramer, who gave him some alarming predictions of what could happen if contracts are not adhered to by Super League clubs.
“The danger to clubs is their prized assets may leave, but some clubs may think it’s a price worth paying if it keeps their finances in check,” said Cramer, a managing partner of Leeds-based Front Row Legal which specialises in sports law.
“The NRL is having similar problems with pay cuts, though they plan to get playing by May 28 and so they may feel they can get a top player from over here – that’s where clubs are vulnerable to that scenario.”
One leading player manager has already made contact with Cramer seeking advice on his players.
Aussie clubs struggling to pay their bills with no football being played are in a similar predicament to their Super League counterparts.
They are asking players to take a cut - but the Rugby League Players Association is certain to keep a close eye on developments in the UK.
