Why’s it up to Vlandys to even out the comp. If teams can’t implement a system as good as melb they shouldn’t be rewarded. They have turned Paps, Olam and many others into superstars when no one else wanted them. Bottom teams only have there own recruitment and management to blame. We’ve picked up Burton next year. Potentially our best signing in decades, could well change our fortunes with further recruiting. It’s up to the club not to fuck this up, not vlandys

The game is clearly broken. Blowout scores should be an abnormality. As it is a close game is a rarity. There aren't a lot of fans of any sport that will want to watch their team get flogged regularly because a rule change has made the game faster. This could very quickly result in half the fans just switching off and killing the ratings. This will only become worse as more clubs lose players to injury and even less talent is available. Even if they scrub out the 6 again rules tomorrow a lot of clubs are already in serious trouble with players scrubbed out.

Because bottom teams can't compete with top 4 teams for signings and when the NRL makes all clubs spend 95% of the cap, it means non top 4 teams or bottom 8 teams have to overpay for average players just to fill their cap.

Teams should be able to spend as little cap space as they want. The whole thing is rigged to favour the established teams.

The Roosters and Melbourne have made up most of the last decade plus of Grand Finals and comps. I've never seen the league this non competitive

This is not the NRL i want. Massive score lines onlybenefit half the fans.
Soon the other half will lose faith and abandon the game completely.
I'VE BEEN SAYING IT FOR SOME TIME RUGBY LEAGUE IS DYING GAME, a lot of the blame can be attributed to the influence of Politis the Rotters and their main supporters Ch9.

The last decade we’ve been in two grand finals and roosters three. We just butchered our cap.

No doubt we have. And our juniors.. The Roosters have been top 4 every year during that time though whereas we haven't made the top 8 in years and haven't made the top 4 more than once or twice during that time..

All I'm saying is the system is flawed. Don't make teams spend 95% of their cap. Let them spend as little as they want. Then clubs can be more selective.

The game allowed us to be tougher in those days. Most of the hard play we used would see us in the bin for ten, and suspended the next week under today's rules. Hetherington displayed the aggression that used to define the Dogs, and we had the ref warning us to back off.

What is killing the game is the repeat sets of six. The repeats are supposed to replace a penalty for offside or holding down, but referees never penalised every play the ball, as they are doing with the six again. It is being used too frequently, and too softly. It favours attacking sides that know how to play the ball quickly, and milk penalties.

Teams that have spent the better part of the game tackling themselves to a standstill are blown off the park in the final 30 minutes.
