I've been using chrome on windows 7 and haven't been logged out once in a week so this is puzzling. I've change some settings around, please continue to update me should you get logged out and I'll try and narrow down the cause. I'm not an expert on the service side for thanks for being patient with me! It i can't solve it in the next day or so I'll just an expert to come in and do it.
Ok thanks mate, I'll keep you updated.

On which device? App or browser?

A few people have reported this and I think it's been solved now. Let me know if it occurs again.

Yeah im on the app,i couldnt send any msgs only read stuff been like that for over a week seems fixed from today

I may have a fix.

The fix is working on my PC and mobile so far, even after restarting both from power off.

Some "http" bookmarks created before the site updated, may not work with the new "https" login properly, and will not keep you logged using some browsers

So to fix it if currently affected:

1. Delete your old kennel bookmark
(this step was required at step 1 to work properly on my mobile for some reason, but i didnt need to do it first on my PC)
2. Go to the kennel

3. Log into the kennel
(tick stay logged in)
4. Create a new bookmark to the kennel

5. Use that bookmark from now on

Some browsers are auto routing to the server's new https setup, even if you launch the site from an old http bookmark, and some arent currently. Some browsers are going to the old http site instead. Logging into the new https site login from the http version of the site makes stay logged in fail for security reasons (logging into a secure site from an insecure location)

Some people would have noticed no change during the above issue and are wondering wtf lol.

It is likely at some point a server end fix will be applied, so everyone gets auto re-routed to https from old http bookmarks in all browsers. Until then my above fix works for affected people.
Dognacious Dognacious Nash Nash Ok I have done this now and it appears to be working (on PC) - so far so good :grinning:

Thanks mate. I don't know what the difference is though.

You guys realise that an old link is a cache. You're pointing to an old link. lol

Please note, if you want to make a deal with this user, that it is blocked.
Didn't work for me (not using a bookmark just going straight to www.thekennel.net.au and logging in, closing browser, then doing the same thing again.

It will only stay logged in, if u create a bookmark while logged in and then use that bookmark which will have a https path. The address u are typing is going to the http version. U cant stay logged in if u logged into the site via a http page. Has to be a https link. Its a https security thing.

Should work if you add the https:// to the front of the address if u are typing it manually. Won't if u leave it out.

Fixed it .. had to manually clear out the certificate, clear cache and reset up link.

Note the bookmark goes to where I had it going anyway (https://www.thekennel.net.au/forum/index.php)
Funny. For me clearing cookies, cache and the rest didnt help. Creating a new bookmark without clearing that later on, did. At least between our 2 scenarios a fix would happen for everyone affected. Computers hey.

I don't understand how that works though. The link/URL is the same. How can a bookmark point to something different if the URL is the same?

It isn't the link, but rather the redirection when a non https bookmark is visited.

Hitting a bookmark that was http not http would cause the uesr to login during redirection to https site.

EXISTING LINK: http://www.thekennel.net.au/forum/index.php
BOOKMARKED LINK: http://www.thekennel.net.au/forum/index.php
LINK REDIRECTION FROM: http://www.thekennel.net.au/forum/index.php to https://www.thekennel.net.au/forum/index.php

So when someone was hitting their http bookmarked link, it was having to redirect to https site, and in that redirection would drop authentication and require relogin because the cookie was pointing to login being at http not https.

M Mr Invisible do you have an answer for this one mate? For some reason, when I use the chrome url bar, my searches using chrome are going via Yahoo instead of google :(

Change the search engine order / list in Chrome.

Not sure 100% where it is though as I don't use Chrome (I often refer to it as a piece of shit when I'm in a kind mood).

Done. I couldn't change it from Yahoo to Google because an extension I had was controlling it. How the f**k someone can create a CG entension that controls GC is beyond me. So I nuked the extension then it automatically directed back to google search.
