Can't see anything really improving while we have a useless 7 and an average 1 with Barrett as coach. I and others got sick of saying Burton needed an experienced 7 but our club didn't seem to think it was a priority. We could have signed Shaun Johnson for a little more. We could have signed Sezer, could have signed Reynolds. We could have signed up and comer Hynes even. We could have signed Hastings if it wasn't for bad blood between him and Barrett. He f..ked us there also.

Seems the only way we're getting out of this is to have a fire sale for players who aren't even off contract yet so we'd need to contribute (Thompson, Jacko, Allen, Flanagan) and upgrade our 7 AND 1 but where are these players even coming from ? The only 1 and 7 I could see getting us out of this mess would be George Williams and Reece Walsh or Latrell Mitchell IF his body is even up to playing fullback.

Even bigger priority is getting Shane Flanagan as coach IMO. Unfortunately Gould still seems to have faith in Barrett. He must see something that none of us see. I'd be over the moon just to see us score 1 single try from a Barrett drilled set move. 2 tries last week were all JAC. The other Dufty's passing skills.

When is Barrett going to be responsible for one single F..KING try assist ?

What the f..k is his obsession with playing Averillo, JMK and Waddell ? They're all coach killers. If he keeps playing them he deserves whatever he gets.

Can we finish this season to see if we improved from last year first?
But we finished last year with the spoon and we are roughly 10 weeks into another shit year after so much off season signing and promises.
Any supporters left must be sick to death of a shit team and constant rebuilding excuses.
Sad that each year our season ends fast with bunches of losses.

They fix two of our glaring needs, so we will be better.

Still need a quality centre, fullback, half and a prop.

23 will be improved, but i think 24 is when we really compete.

Gus preaches patience for a reason.
We can only hope.

Mahoney will improve our attack. Our issue is dummy half. We can't get the footy wide of the ruck. It means every hit up and metre we make very hard earned. This tires our defence and also attributes to our halves getting slow ball with the defence in their face. The old saying is that a fish rots from the head. In our case the head of our attack is the dummy half.

The highest error our coaching staff are making is persisting with JMK at dummy half. Move him to the 14 where he can come on and cover injuries or
Just be injected as a runner if no injuries occur

Agreed, if you watch the parra and penrith game, the forwards were killing it and the line speed was phenomenal.

With Baz at the helm any player who comes to club turns to shit, will be the same for Reed and Kiks and every other player coached by him. When the players come on the field looking lost and lacking any "go" you know the match is cooked before it starts.

People need to see whats infront of them for what it is..

Last year it was "2022 will be a improvement" this year is "2023", false hope is exactly that.

It was mostly one-out stuff but when we spread the ball we looked dangerous.
Sorry but Baz has to go.

It'd be impossible not to improve as it's hard to get worse than a 12% win rate..

Replace Baz, Ferris and the whole coaching staff.. Add Mahoney and Kikau and we can be a top 8 team next year. Look at the improvements Brisbane and Nth Qld have made from last year. It can happen.. We just need a new coach before it does..

It’ll be same shit diff year, if Baz is around he’ll make Mahoney look average and kikau will suddenly be out of form. Pin this post and watch what happens. For some reason the players don’t stand up under Baz and it’s a major issue that needs addressing

Still early for me , still have time not even half way through the season so hopefully we will get better, watching Burton and a few others getting better the more the season progresses.
