Melbourne’s battle to retain co-captain Dale Finucane is growing tougher by the minute, while Nicho Hynes won’t be at the club next season after signing a massive three-year deal.
Moments after Craig Bellamy confirmed the fullback wouldn’t be staying in Melbourne in 2022, it was revealed on Tuesday that a Sydney club was successful in getting his signature.

Nicho Hynes will be leaving Melbourne next year.
The Daily Telegraph reported moments later that the Sharks signed the utility on a three-year deal worth $1.8 million.
His signing comes after reports that he had lunch this weekend with inbound Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon.

Brisbane reportedly offered a three-year $1 million deal, which was not enough considering his rampant form. T
After Thursday night’s win, Storm boss Bellamy had said: “We really want to keep him without a doubt … it all depends what Nicho wants out of his footy career at this time and next year.”
But talks hit a brick wall this week, and Bellamy confirmed on Tuesday that Hynes was clear to seek a move elsewhere.
