Next week team

Hopefully, Ciraldo has already been thinking about this leading up to the game although the injury to Kiraz may have messed up his planning. I'm happy to go with whatever he chooses, he seems to be getting a lot right at the moment.

I'd look at Smith to fill the role. He isn't slow although Herbie is express but he'll be assisted by Hayes on the inside. Defensively, this seems the best option to me although it doesn't represent any real attacking threat.

I'm confident the coach will know what's best.
Not sure Smith is a centre... Herbie would tear him to shreds..
Sua is a bigger body and has speed.. Just needs to hang on defensively and he'll be ok for 1 game

Jethro had a cast on his left arm/hand.. he's injured...Sua didn't play neither did Underhill..
Probably be something like this (hopefully):
1. Tracey
2. Wilson
3. Xerri
4. Sua
5. Monty
6. Burto
7. Sexy
8. Curran
9. Reed
10. Hopoi
11. Kiks
12. Hayes
13. Morrin
14. Haywood
15. Underhill
16. Zyon
17. Luke Smith

Turpin will start at lock this week

Farnworth, Isaako, Averillo all worry me.

Lots of points in them if they turn up, and they'll be up for a "fuck you Billy" game to show the Qld selectors they got it wrong.

Not the time of year to be playing such a dangerous backline.

It's not like their halves can't set them up either.

Dolphins are one of those teams that if they show up, they can put on points.

They belted Storm for 44 points earlier this season when Storm had an off night, and our starts are lacking currently as it is.

Up the middle we should be okay, meaning they'll try and go around us. Our centre and possibly wing will be a weak point.

Be it Bostock & Leumelu or Averillo/Isaako & Farnworth, either combination will be directing a lot of traffic at our edges.

CL I think just came back from injury too, and might be named against his old club (Bulldogs).

Sua, Rinikama, and Tia have been leaking points galore with shirt grabbing defence in NSW Cup. Hence why I think Hayes or Smith is a safer bet.

Development players can play NRL either from or after round 11.
Just read they changed the rules in 2024.

Development players are good to go from Round 1.

Trial and train can't play till after round 11.

Actually just on that, I wonder if Grossemy is in contention for debut, if they move Hayes or Smith to centre.

Smith has played a fair bit of centre and is significantly better in defence than Sua. However, Herbie is elite and would be hard for anyone to contain. Especially if he is getting good ball.

Farnworth, Isaako and Averillo are all not eligible for QLD... not saying I'm not worried about getting flogged this week but thought I'd clear that up.

Hopoi is so much better this year. Hopefully he remains a Bulldog

Monty has played a few games in N.S.W. Cup at left centre. Much more experienced than Sua. Play them both on the left and move Xerri over to the right to try and keep Farnworth quiet. Normally I’m not a fan of playing wingers in the centre, due to the different defensive requirements but playing Monty there is a better option than moving Tracey.
Monty also played at NRL level at left centre. Who could forget our killer centre combo of Montoya and Holland. Geez we have come a long way

Yuck. Why?

who else plays lock with mann out? curran is needed in the middle or on the edge.

can't see milky playing 80 mins at lock.

Turpin just needs to play 20-30 mins Max anyway.

hoping tuala is fit enough to play because sua and smith defending against herbie would be a shitshow.

Centre needs someone who is strong defensively. I think that leaves Sua out.
I would prefer Luke Smith to fill in there.

Mahoney and Burton being available makes a huge difference.
As Ciraldo doesn't need to mess around with Bulldogs spine.
I would have thought Hayward takes Mann's spot. So no real change there either.
Hayes and Hopoi will step up.
Curran is back.
Morrin and Taafe I assume on the bench.
It will be interesting to see who gets Ciraldo's nod to be the 'next man up'.
I assume main contenders for centre and bench spots are players like Smith, Tia, Maiu'u, Spinks. Whoever Ciraldo chooses will do the job.
I have to say though, there is a case for Crichton to contest the charge.
If he is carrying a groin injury a three week rest might be just the ting. He would only miss Dolphins, Eels and Rabbitohs if he lost.
Just do what they did with Preston and show videos of Roosters players pretending to be injured.

Hope you‘re right. Let’s stat playing the song by Hot Chocolate, I believe in miracles, where you from you sexy thing.

It won’t even be a miracle, it will be expected. Even with a million outs we’re still better than the fish. You mustn’t have seen their last start lol. They’ve got nothing and now even less, with no Gilbert or Hammer.
