Don't expect miracles, Des has left this place in a very bad way

Throw dib into the equation and it will be a lot of work to get us back up

Our salary cap is screwed , players are very unfit, poor training culture and poor rehab/management of injuries

Then there is dib and who knows what he has cooked up
Not expecting miracles but I am looking forward to being proud of my club again though

I actually really rate young Keighren from the 20's in the halves. Looks to have the best kicking game in the club and a bit of pace also. He impressed me in what was a poor season from the 20's.

Not expecting miracles but a move in the right direction, which it has been since Des left.

I am not asking for a premiership in next 2 years. I am just stating the stats for the first year of last 3 coaches at the dogs.

I've only been saying Mbye at fullback since 2014. Dean Pay looks like he's switched on and isn't arrogant. Haven't been this excited for round 1 in years!
It's just defies logic that Des never trialed him there instead of his bullshit tactic of having the 3 rotate through the halves. I'd love to see the mbye to #1 tactic work but if it doesn't at least we'll know. At least Pay is aware that it is an option and worth looking at. That's good enough for me.

Met him once when I was doing Door Security at the Casino in Brissie. Walks up with Hetherington & Darren Smith blind rotten drunk. They look at me sheepishly not expecting to get in and ask, "can we come-in side", like little kids. I laughed and said, "I'm a doggies fan boys, fucking oath your coming in"! Lol, chatted to them for awhile and made my night.
So hence the name Grogdog lol.

He's a gun. Just needs some nurturing

He will do well, he has learnt from the best in Canberra in relation to bringing through juniors

Look how good cotric, tapine etc have gone

This will be good for the salary cap, quickest way to bring it back under control is to breed your own
Tapine is a Knights junior the Raiders poached by offering a fortune to.

Priest is 28 and came from Penrith.
Yes priest is 28 but came from Mounties not panthers

Raiders identified him as talent , gave him chance to train with first grade in pre season then developed him from there

Not a junior in your typical "young" sense
But raiders watch all the junior and local league games and pick from there too
Every year they offer 5-6 guys chances of training for a contract

Des hasn't done that , hasn't bothered with local or juniors at all

Expect Dean to do alot more of that

If a big name doesn't put in at training / on the field Dean wont be scared to drop them for a no name

Nu brownn was recruited to play hooker
But nah change under dean pay
I’d still flick lichaa
Have Foran at 7
Cleveland at 6

Imagine rfm running off Foran and Jacko being Cleveland’s hitman

We have a good side and with some tweaks a top 8 spot should be a min target

Getting goose bumps reading Pay's interview and everyone's comments on the Kennel
I now feel there is hope...we are getting our football team back !
We are getting a coach that has pride in the club, the team and the supporters
Unlike the coach that pulled the team off the field not allowing them to celebrate with the fans making the grand final 2012 ( unforgivable )
United we stand Divided we fall !
Bring Back The Dogs Of War !!!

Hetho working with Lichaa would be magical... I'd pick Lewis over Cleeland to be honest.
Are you serious??? Cleeland was absolute class this year. Scored a head of tries, and was in the team of the week six times from memory, and was named best 5/8 in ISP.

I really dont get why anyone thinks we are in such a bad place. Sure we had a shit year, but its not because we have a shit team. We just had a stubborn as fuck coach who wouldnt deviate from his robotic style of play, playing certain players out of position and refusing to promote players that were in good form or drop players that weren't.
Im expecting nothing less then top 8 next year, and im even confident we can get close to top 4. We will be a completely different club next year.
