Bulldogs forward Dylan Napa is likely to miss 5 to 6 weeks with a grade two syndesmosis to his right ankle.

Napa received the news this morning after a scan.

His injury is the same as suffered by Kieran Foran last week.

Very unlucky. We could’ve belted the dragons with both Foran and Napa

He stretched the ligament , it swells up then it gets better... Not the same as forans who probably tore the ligament

Disappointed for Big Papi just as he was hitting form too. Least it’s not 12 weeks.

Not that bad considering the injury, but you have to wonder what it means for our team. I see a lot of positives. More depth being created by more younger players getting the call-up and being surrounded by positivity, support and momentum. We seem to have the perfect environment to blood the new ones and allow them to hit the ground running, get good confidence and experience out of it. If we use our injuries to introduce and make a success of more talented new recruits, this has to help our long term prospects. Of course we prefer not to lose our senior players with so much inexperience, but look at how the team is responding - it is absolutely amazing!

The down side to this is that it puts extra pressure on the young boys and sooner or later they will hit a flat spot. It’s hard for seasoned NRL players to keep the consistency going let alone such a young team. I hope fans keep this in mind when it eventually happens.
