how do you feel about the ending, indy dying in 1933 so future indy ( the one we know from the movies ) fades away marty mcfly style, hands his hat to the chick as he's fading, then a montage of the chick doing the things indy did in the movies

I have heard this rumoured ending..I’m thinking it’s just a rumour as it wouldn’t make sense..as Indy had a female love interests in all the movies, Marion in Raiders, Willy in Temple, Elsa in Crusade, and Marion again in Crystal Skull..who we found out had his child Mutt..so story wise it would just be ridiculously stupid.

However in saying this..Kathleen Kennedy is the producer..and Disney is the owner of the franchise.. and look what they did with Star Wars!

Yep..understand exactly what you mean..same as Andrew Garfield saying he wasn’t in Spider-Man: No Way Home..

Just think it would not really fit in things.. Your example and mine doesn’t effect the whole story telling.. If it is true I’m throwing my movies and Fedora in the bin..and I’ll sit outside Disneyland with a sign reading ’You Suck!’..truly i will!

The rumour of a time travel element has been pretty much confirmed by the trailer..so there is one they got right.. But I dare say Disney will find someway to expand the franchise of Indian Jones, you don’t buy the rights to it for just one film.

This idea may have been the original intention for the ending of Indy 5..however it’s believed test audiences..(although the director Mangold denies these screenings) who saw this ending..and the public, when this rumour surfaced, were so outraged by this treatment of Ford’s Indy, that Disney may have decided to alter it..hence this comment by John Williams in his concert a couple days ago referring to Dial of Destiny.

“So, we have just about completed the film. We have maybe another ending to shoot and to record. Maybe in a couple weeks.”

So fingers crossed this idea is thrown in the bin.. However, in saying that, doesn’t mean the film still won’t suck.
