An interesting horror movie. The non-spoiler plot is that an entire class (excluding one child) go missing. They all randomly run out of their homes around 2am. Police and parents search but no one can figure out what happened to them.
It's an interesting delivery method. I thought there would be a big lead up to the event, but instead the first 5 minutes of the movie is a kid narrating the event explaining what happened. Then the movie takes an episodic approach which I normally hate, but it worked pretty well here. It starts focused on what happened to the teacher shortly after the event. Basically how the parents blame her for it and how she deals with that. Then it switches to other characters and what happened to them around the event.
The movie has had heavy praise and while I didn't think it was revolutionary, it still is a very good movie that will stick in my mind for a while. Stephen King gave it a lot of praise, which makes sense because it very much feels like a Stephen King movie. Even to the point that one of the characters feels like she was influenced by a famous Stephen King character.
Definitely recommend. Just don't go in expecting it to be amazing. It's an interesting horror movie that's well worth the watch.
