final-destination-2880x1800-22358.jpg

A college student inherits visions of a previous premonition that averted a deadly structural failure in 1969 from her dying grandmother and is warned that Death is coming for her family.

Was looking forward to this one after a long wait and ultimately it failed to deliver. The best aspect of the final destination franchise is the inventive realistic and gory kills, bloodlines has way too much CGI, with some of the ways the kills pan out aren't bad, they are some what disappointing compared with previous entries. Story was pretty standard but that's expected really. The acting is very ordinary, with the exception being an extended cameo from Tony Todd in his final role. RIP candyman, you will be missed.

Anyone else watch K-pop demon hunters? Lol

Watched it with the kid. She liked it. The Cheshire cat and the bird were good, the rest was pretty cringe.
Yh I watched it because everyone was talking about it online and...yh it fell flat.

I just watched Heretic with Hugh Grant. He does not play his usual bumbling, winsome, British leading man. Rather, he plays completely against type, with a performance that borders on menacing. If you get a chance, have a look at it, as it was a pretty good movie.

Finally watched this. I liked it. I don't think it was amazing or genre defining, but 24 hours later it's still constantly running through my head.

Heredity was definitely the better movie, but I also liked Heretic. 8/10

Great you enjoyed it Hacky. Personally, I really did not like Heredity.

Is that the one where the guy's a good guy pop singer and he gets possessed by the devil for a bit and then there's these all these demons back up dancers?

I've been thinking about starting a business where I remove people's eyes for money. Can you tell me where they're screening this movie. I'm on a budget and want to target where I advertise until cash flow is better.

I think its on Netflix.

I overheard my almost 5 year old in the car signing a song i'd never heard, and found it was from this movie. So i had to check it out to make sure it wasn't inappropriate for her (seems pretty tame considering the title TBH). I don't recall any eye removing though...

I was trying to be creative in saying that I'd prefer to remove my eyes than watch a K-pop based movie.

Nah. It's about a KPop girl group that are also demon hunters and they use their singing to seal the demons in hell. So the demons come up with a plan to make a KPop boy group with demons pretending to be humans to steal the souls of people and unless the Korean version of Satan.

If that sounds bad it's because it is.

i think its the same movie - i just wasn't paying attention, which makes sense.

Old Guard 2

The first movie was decent without being great. A solid 7/10. The sequel is more of the same. But it loses 5 points due to the ending. This isn't really a spoiler btw, just a warning. The ending is "To Be Continued..."

They're making a 3rd movie for a pretty average IP. I don't think anyone asked for a 2nd movie let alone a trilogy.

Am about to watch Happy Gilmore 2.

Heard mixed things and am expecting absolutely nothing, especially given the quality of legacy sequels these days

Fingers crossed for you. I’ve heard it’s not great.
Nope, it's not. Laughed a few times, more so with a few unexpected cameos like Eminem and Christopher McDonald was great, but overall it's just another product for Sandler to put his family into and get paid for it, which I can't deride him for but I should have known better than to watch it

Just watched happy gilmore 2, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Will say rewatch happy gilmore first. Great laughes.
Why, they threw every call back possible to the original and it felt really forced. Guess they needed something to fill just under two hours seeing the script was basically non existent

For me, I went in with no expectations of the movie, other than Sandler is a funny fuck. It was 90's comedy minus swear words, cause todays kids are soft.
I actually enjoyed the corny connection to the first movie.
