It might seem a bit biased because of my love of wolves, but this movie was EPIC. It's set in Iceland at the end of the last Ice Age 20,000 years ago. A young boy being trained by his tribe in survival gets injured and separated from them during a bison hunt. Fending off a wolf pack, he injures a wolf while seeking refuge in an old tree. The wolf pack wait however they know he is out of reach, so move on, but they (surprisingly) leave the injured wolf behind. The following day the boy attempts to kill the wolf off, however doesn't have the heart to do so to a defenseless animal, so instead he takes it with him looking for shelter and nurses the wolf back to health. They then form a bond the shapes humanity (man and dog).

Everything in this movie is great, from the cinematography to the story itself. Very emotional at times and really makes you appreciate the dogs we have today.

Available on Netflix (watch with subtitles).

9/10.

You wernt at all disturbed by the fact that the woke made him marry the wolf at the end of the movie?

If you like nasty death scenes, average acting and nonsensical violence check out the terrifier series. Saw all three and the third is the best imo
Oooh you would love the Wrong Turn documentaries, watch them.in reverse order tho

Documentaries I haven't so will need to check them out but I've seen the 6 movies.

Liked the first and loved the second but found they got progressively worse. By the remake I was done

Lol yeah stay away from the remake,

But the storyline works so much better in reverse, gives you the backstory and how they end up at the first movie.

I didn't unfortunately, it's up there with one of the worst horrors I've seen (and I've seen alot)

I thought you were referring to some true crime docuseries that the movies were based on, I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't exist now as I love that kind of stuff :tearsofjoy:

That was Hereditary, this is Heretic.

Hereditary was an interesting one. I didn't like it much on the first watch. Watched it again and enjoyed it a lot more on the second watch. But that could be due to me originally watching it on a shitty Qantas plane screen.

I love the Heredity memes going around...

As far as overrated horror movies though... Barbarian. Friends kept ranting about how good it was so I watched it and I thought it was OK. Kind of interesting but mainly just an average horror movie.

I didn't mind it but agree that it was over overrated, kind of like most movies these days

I call it documentary, I like tompretend not real scary things are real, makes life more interesting.

I'm not sure what you're smoking man. It was a story about how man and dog became companions. There are plenty of men out there who own female dogs.

The Toxic Avenger remake looks great. They kept the classic B Grade style
