I thought Wayne was a Trump figure too..actually I don’t think he was great..he was an arrogant prick who was one of the many reasons that the world that was inhabited in the movie had gone to shit..a selfish egotistical figure..an integral figure that triggered the fall of Fleck..
!!!!!!!Potential spoilers below!!!!!!!!

I loved him bro lol. You can’t hate rich people just coz they’re rich and not giving their income to the poor. They’re free to do it and free not to, but I’m pretty sure Wayne was helping out the poor just the fake news in the movie created a false sentiment causing them to be murdered cold blooded in front of their kid.
Also fleck was created mainly due to his “mother” and bf and what they did to him as a child. That shit rattled me. Fleck even told Wayne to his face it’s not about money, that’s what the clown movement was about though, they wanted the rich peoples money hence fleck distancing himself from that movement. The only trigger Wayne had was giving fleck the truth which did turn out to be the truth and Wayne was not this monster anymore in my eyes. It was the mother all along. Had the mother not mentioned the fake family thing, fleck wouldn’t have cared about Wayne just as he hadn’t all that time.
Anyways did you love that plot twist of how everything was made up in his own mind about the girl?

I disagree about Wayne..to me the whole point of his character was that he epitomised the selfishness of the world he was part of..the neglect..the absence of care..remember he called em clowns ..and remember what ‘Joe Chill’ said..The mother too played her role..a personal role..it’s all interwoven..

Yes the girl..it freaked me out that bit..And the ending..but that’s too spoiler at this stage to talk about it.. sheesh!

Just finished watching the movie. And WOW. I was impressed.

It's hard now to pick between Joaquin Phoenix and Heath Ledger as my favourite joker. They're very much different characters, but Phoenix basically left me thinking that his character was a product of a broken system and I felt some pity for the situation that took him over the edge, while Ledger was the criminal mastermind. It's good that they're starting to base movies on the villains of the comic book world.

Yep I agree..that’s the difference between them.. Ledger was the more ‘sane’ so what he did was calculated.. Phoenix like you said was a product of a selfish and broken down society.. Powerful movie..

The Town

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0840361/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

As he plans his next job, a longtime thief tries to balance his feelings for a bank manager connected to one of his earlier heists, as well as the F.B.I. Agent looking to bring him and his crew down.

I actually saw this movie back in 2010 and I fell asleep during it and woke up towards the end. This time around, I stayed up for a lot more of it... but again fell asleep towards the end. I don't know, some of the action scenes are ok, but I just couldn't get into this movie.

I Spy

A professional athlete has to help a U.S. government agent recover a missing jet.

It's hard to imagine Eddie Murphy as a pro boxer. This movie is ok. I mean it's far from the best but enjoyable enough to keep you watching it. Some classic lines from Eddie though, but Owen Wilson's character seems to have a hard time following whatever order/advice is given to him. Not bad.

Tensions mount at Killers Anonymous, a support group for killers, as the members of the group try to unravel the mystery behind which one of them is responsible for the assassination attempt on a U.S. senator that has the police authorities in the city on high alert. But things are not what they seem, and when new truths surface, secret alliances and betrayals emerge as the session explodes into violence and chaos.

Where to start with this one. A script that seemed like it was cobbled together during a long weekend after a massive binge drinking session leading to a non-sensical plot with pointless throwaway characters and below average acting due to poor overall direction, the musical score was annoying and mismatched too. The frustrating thing is it could have worked if they kept things simple and someone competent was at the helm, but alas this is the disappointing end product.

I think I'm officially done with Gary Oldman too, the guy seems to have pulled a De Niro and just shows up for the paycheck now.

Police partners descend into the criminal underworld after they are suspended for assaulting a suspect on video.

I was looking forward to seeing this seeing I enjoyed S. Craig Zahler's previous movies, but the end product i'm indifferent about. Strong acting pretty much all round (even from vince vaughn, I still don't like the guy but credit to him for putting in some good performances of late) cinematography was impressive, and it was shot very well but the script was so so, scenes dragged on for no reason with too much filler, this could have easily had fourty minutes shaved off the runtime and achieved the same result, so end of the day it's kind of an aptly named title.

Fractured

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4332232/?ref_=nv_sr_1?ref_=nv_sr_1

Driving cross-country, Ray and his wife and daughter stop at a highway rest area where his daughter falls and breaks her arm. After a frantic rush to the hospital and a clash with the check-in nurse, Ray is finally able to get her to a doctor. While the wife and daughter go downstairs for an MRI, Ray, exhausted, passes out in a chair in the lobby. Upon waking up, they have no record or knowledge of Ray's family ever being checked in.

This was one of those movies that kept you guessing the entire time of what was really going on. Probably about halfway right through towards the end I thought Sam Worthington's character was playing a nut case, and ((SPOILER BELOW))...

I was correct.

My good man, no one can come close to being as great as the late Bill Collins. I feel honored however that I have been mentioned in the same sentence as him.

Big shout out to our brother @The_Chimpster who's just as much the critic as I am :D

Crazed killers Baby Firefly, Captain Spaulding and Otis Driftwood unleash bloody mayhem after escaping from prison.

Having seen most of Rob Zombie's movies to date, and actually enjoying the previous two films in this trilogy (devil's rejects being his best work imo) this sorry excuse for a cash grab was shittier than a fat dude spraying out diarrhea in a truck stop bathroom after eating 15 pies. Nothing about this movie worked. The characters were annoying, direction was woeful and don't even get me started on the story and script,l (or lack thereof) resulting in a end product no one involved seemed to care about.

(Message to Mr Zombie, you're wife can't act to save her life, she's worse than an ametuer porn actress)

0.5/5 (just for bill moseley and Danny trejo)

I started watching the Dead Don't Die. Made it 25 minutes. It's the first movie I've ever had to turn off 'cause it was so bloody boring.

I've been doing that recently to "horror" movies on Leftflix. No horror about the new shit, even the jump scares can be seen coming a mile away by a blind man in Turkmenistan.

As an actor, Affleck is so hit and miss.

I thought he was great in the Accountant.
