I couldn't stand the Mounties jerseys. It just doesn't feel right. I really hope we're back to the Bulldogs jerseys for reserve grade. I also thought Potter did a decent job coaching the reserves.

We aren't affiliated with Mounties anymore.
Mounties was a multi year deal. 2021 and 2022.

David Tangata-Toa is the NRL Pathways Manager/Coach.

He can definitely coach (was asst coach for Tonga and Cowboys), and he's captain/coached Windsor Wolves before now.

That said I'd be amazed if Potter doesn't get a second chance in 2022, given the entire season was pretty much a write off.

Really? That didn't last long.. It's good news if true. It would be much better to have Reserves playing in Bulldogs colours again..
Same. Step closer towards having 3 grades play on the same day I think. Reggies before first grade at the least and it would be better with our Reggie’s team wearing the blue and white

Yesterday Dogs removed Mounties Photo player profiles from Teams page, adds weight to the rumours, maybe Twin Turbo can enlighten us.
Not really, all the new players haven't even been added to the nrl team.
They're soo slow and shit updating their page.
It needs to change!

Happens every year as they prepare to solidfy the squads and get photos taken.

All grades are missing except NRL.

In a decision that will delight Members and fans of the club, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have announced that they will bring back their NSW Cup side this coming season, after receiving clearance from the New South Wales Rugby League to do so.

The move will see the Bulldogs go back to running their own team in the NSW Cup in 2022, in addition to continuing their partnership with Mounties, to whom they will provide players and support.

The Bulldogs have a tremendous history at a reserve grade level, having won 10 Premierships throughout history, with the last coming in 2018, after a last gasp 18-12 victory over Newtown at a packed Leichhardt Oval.

Bringing the NSW Cup side back to Canterbury has been something that Chair, John Khoury, has worked tirelessly on since taking over the role:

"Bringing back our Reserve Grade side to Belmore is something that was very important to both the Board and all of our fans, and we are delighted that we have been able to achieve this for next season.

The decision will be beneficial in that it will allow us to create a full pathway from juniors all the way through to the NRL, and the NSW Cup side will be a vital part of that going forward.

We have a rich history of success at Reserve Grade level and that has always flowed through to the NRL. Our aim is to create depth and competition, and to return to being a club that develops its own players and brings them through the system.

We want to return to creating a winning culture here at Belmore, and we believe that this will be another step in the right direction in regard to getting there.

We will continue to partner with Mounties to provide support for their team in 2022, through the provision of players.

We thank both Mounties and the NSWRL for working with us to achieve this, and we look forward to seeing our players run out in Bulldogs colours this coming season."

So Tangs is coaching the Bulldogs NSW cup team.

Porter is still at the Bulldogs? They’re still affiliated with us.

Shame we didn't get Potter over as reserves coach...probably contracted to Mounties for 2022.

Woah! That's some big news.

So they must have terminated the contract early, in exchange for us lending them some players (as Mounties AND Bulldogs will have sides in NSW Cup).

I wonder if this means the other in place contract is terminated too. According to this initial announcement back in the day (https://www.bulldogs.com.au/news/20...t-venture-with-mounties-for-next-two-seasons/) it was for NSW Cup and Harvey Normans Womans Premiership.

Would make sense to bring them both back under the Bulldogs banner though.

Tangata-Toa will probably work a dual role then as NRL Pathways Manager. I suppose thinking about it, it probably makes sense if hes assisting players into NRL, that he'd be coaching them as they come up from lower grades to NSW Cup.

Tangata-Toa should do just fine. He has been pretty well regarded, and worked with Panthers / Wolves in the past, so Barrett and Gould already know him.

Probably...but still prefer experience and Bulldogs ex-player culture of Potter.

Ready made close replacement to step in if Baz doesn't show vast improvement.

He's done a bit of everything, but hasn't been too committed to the Bulldogs in recent times.
