I hope he plays and that the crowd collectively boo's the fraud every time he touches the ball.

Projectiles in his direction as he's leaving the field would be a nice touch also.
MBye has been one our best this year.

He is only going because the club shopped him around. He is doing the club a favour. The club is in all sorts. It’s these transfers that will see the club be in a better position quicker.

As long as the deal is the best for next year and beyond.

If we are picking up his full moneys for 2018 then the Tigers cover everything 2019 moving forward it’s best for all parties.

The club did not shop him around.

Mbye to finalise Wests Tigers move on Friday

Author Michael Chammas Chief Reporter

Thu 14 Jun 2018, 08:14 PM

Moses Mbye is on Friday expected to finalise a mid-season switch to the Wests Tigers, but not before a final farewell for Canterbury against the Gold Coast Titans at Belmore Sportsground on Saturday.

NRL.com understands Mbye, who is reluctantly departing the Bulldogs to help ease the club's salary cap predicament, has finally agreed to make an early switch to help the Tigers in their pursuit of finals football in 2018.

The release documentation is expected to be formalised on Friday.

Mbye had signed a four-year deal with the Tigers from next year, however, it's in the Tigers and Bulldogs' best interest for Mbye to switch clubs before the June 30 trade deadline.

While the Tigers boost their hopes of playing finals football, the Bulldogs get the chance to begin forward paying 2019 contracts to help their dire salary cap situation.

Bulldogs say Mbye will be a loss

Mbye was reluctant to leave the Bulldogs prior to the end of the season out of loyalty to his teammates, however, there has been mounting pressure on the fullback to make the change immediately.

He is expected to play his final game for the Bulldogs against the Gold Coast Titans at Belmore Sportsgound on Saturday, however, an injury could throw a spanner in the works.

His Bulldogs teammate, Aaron Woods, was expected to join the Cronulla Sharks this week, however, the two clubs haven't been able to reach an agreement over the portion of Woods' contract they will pay.

I told ya they just wanna play at Belmore one more time ya'lllll!

Considering Mbye's best football memory is winning that game against Newcastle ( one of three career highlights ) I am not surprised he wants to finish there.

As for Woods, he hasn't played at Belmore yet... This will probably be the only chance he'll ever get.

If we are cap compliant this year why the fuck are we letting go players? Makes no sense because we are only weakening this years team unless they have got people from other clubs coming in as replacements.

I guess because this year is a fuk fight and was always going to be. They have conceded already in the hope that getting rid of dead wood will get us in a position to start looking at real players again in the market.

We've got half of our roster occupying >90% of our cap.

Woods, Mbye, Foran accounting for roughly $3 million per year, which is >30% of our current cap space spent (wasted) on 3 players alone, who aren't delivering anywhere near the level of on-field output that their salary demands.

It's a bold yet extremely logical solution to get them off our books sooner rather than later. If everyone isn't already praising the board/management for their actions, they certainly will be in 12 months time.

Just like every other dogs player Mbye is ridiculously overrated. Watching johnson play tonight makes me happy about moses leaving because i have not seen anything like that from Mbye. Mbye has speed but doesn't know how to use it. He doesn't back up, can't run in to gaps and clearly can't set up anything in attack. I still can't believe he couldn't score after olive made a break 2 weeks ago and bmoz's line break last week. Useless. Cya

By freeing up their salaries this year we can start forward paying some of the ludicrous 2019 salaries we will have to pay players

Now that the worst kept secret in Rugby League is confirmed, can they please stand him down from this weekends game?

It's not like he deserves a hero's send off when he's put in five years of inconsistency and failing to reach his potential.

Imagine if he seriously injured himself which would kill the deal? Why risk it? The same applies to Woods.
