He had only 2 games for us peanut.

1st game he completely shut down staggs. 2nd game he didn't perform that well but hes a junior stepping up to first grade

I'm not saying hes q fantastic talent but hes someone who would be able to do a job for us and therefore we'd save on salary cap dosh and spend it elsewhere. We could've persistef with him for quite a few years. Ffs we had players like Matt Ryan performing these type of roles and rhats what harper was

But because of derpa derpa fuckwit pay we opted for smith at centre and then holland and montoya

No he played more than one game in the bulldogs jersey floppy.

Its called flegg and reserve grade where you learn the game and get good enough to play 1st team.

As I need to elaborate for you when it was his time to step into first grade he had a shit pre-season, couple of shit trials and didnt make the cut. YES he should've got a better look in but he didnt grab it... Should have never been released regardless for the likes of Holland though...

Its almost the same sitch with Ogden.

Pre season trial he was heaps better than smith.

Smith got carved up vs sharks in our trials, harper was solid and looked better than every other centre in that game. Again your making stuff up

Yeah ok... call them fairy tails...

How about when Harper finally got a run, ran towards the sideline and couldnt even play the ball aka DWZ style, call that one Cinderella.

@Spoonman84 check out this convo, what u reckon?
Hes a JUNIOR!!!! you're not expecting a flawless game from him, he has to gain experience and grow into 1st grade ffs. If that's what you're expecting we may as well just completely abolish our juniors

Listen I agree with you he should have been given a go, kid deserved it, Pay is a fcuk wit because how do u not give a junior who has worked his way through flegg, debuted as a 19 yr old in NSW cup and worked his way to captain of the NSW cup team a fair bloody go.

I watched him very closely since his debut for reggies and i was close to his biggest fan, even touted him as the next Nigel.V but im telling ya he went backwards when it mattered and you could probably blame Pay because he shut the kid down after those trials.

My point is he's a quick fix for a short period of time. Either he'd come good or he was good enough to leave there until we found someone better. Persisiting with smith, holland and montoya and then stupidly signing lafai was just immense stupidity and incompetence by the cosching staff and board

Who knows what happened behind the scenes but what we saw with like your saying sticking with Smith, Holland and Montoya as centres when we had a genuine centre who was brought over to play centre, grew here as a centre and to just let him walk for a couple of wingers is just retarted.

Either way i wouldnt be surprised if Harper ends up at the warriors.... Guessing the kid is dying to go home.

He won't be coming home. His family has moved over.

In all fairness Harper went to shit when it was his time to step up to NRL.. Yes Pay should have given him more of a go but he was hardly setting the world on fire in reggies. Good on the kid for taking his second chance.
His only full game was against the Broncos and he played all over Katoni Staggs. The other game he was on the bench and got few minutes. He was regularly in the team of the week in reserve grade and was also in team of the year. He was bored down there and ready to step up. The fact that Pay and co. kept reverting back to Holland, Montoya and even Reimis in the centres without giving Harper a go demonstrates how clueless our mob is. JMoz recommended him as his replacement but those idiots knew better.

Your not wrong though he had some real shockers in reggies when he wasnt given a decent go... He was dead set letting in tries at will and looked very tired for who i once called an outstanding defensive centre with probably the best hit and stick at the club .Cant blame the kid for drifting away after u work so hard for nothing.

Straight from the horses who all eat four courses Morgan was found to be to fast and skilful to be given a run.
He didn’t fulfil our turtle policy.
Therefore happily released
From the heading I thought it must have been Ramadan or something. Why isn't he eating?

It was the call to let Reimis have first crack at centre over him that sent him to ask for a release IMO. How dumb are we, I thought we were going for a youth policy the last couple of years but this bloke it only 2 games when we desperately needed a specialist centre wtf.
