Writes an article telling people they should not read things in the media if they don't like them.

Is this bloke retarded or something?

Roar is more like wikipedia than a news site, anyone can submit an article and there is hardly any entry criteria or spell checking

Clubs ARE FORCED to talk to the media. I am betting that if there was a choice you would not see many interviews from certain clubs, but hey...that wouldn't stop media outlets from putting things out there.

1984 and Newspeak alive and well and thriving.

Only hope we have is start winning and develop/buy some superstars that people want to watch to turn this negative agenda around.

Mate, let’s hope young Lewis can go to the next level.
He’s a well spoken, well presented, good looking, family guy who is the nephew of RL royalty.
He’s the kind of kid the media can’t help but liking...and who knows, some of it might rub off on us!

On another related note, was just thinking, would JT Have achieved what he did had he stayed in Sydney, and with the media’s voracious lust for Bulldogs blood?

Mascord decided to move on from the NRL media circus not the other way around. He's a bit jaded about the industry but he's at least realistic and kinda spoiling the rest of the RL medias tricks. He says it at the start, the media here now make it about them, not the players, team or game.

Steve is a smart guy and I don't always agree with him but he has always spoke his mind and never been a puppet. I respect him for that.

He's basically saying what many people here (and other places) say, ignore the rubbish reporting, don't click the fuckin clickbait shit. Every time you read, respond, criticize or engage, you are giving them profile and lining their pockets. Don't read the DT, don't go to news.com.au, don't tweet Buzz and Co, but you can't stop. Most of you can't wait to to read the headlines tomorrow and then be outraged and argue on the internet about it. Which is fine, just don't whinge about them when they turn on us.

Lewis is a gooden for us it seems at this stage. If we can build some more attacking options for him but our spine is not up to par. He needs support around him and a halves coach IMO.

And yeah I don't think JT would be the same player. Hard to say but primarily he ran the Cowboys and developed but with us that's not our style.
