He seems to have learnt how catch the ball properly when he was at the wahs which is a plus as his ball security was abysmal while he was here
 
He was decent at times with the Warriors. Certainly better than he was with us. I'm not the biggest fan of the signing but it wouldn't surprise me if he was better than I or others expect. I still would have liked us to keep Skelton but whats done is done.

I hope his performance matches his passion for the club.

The team he left a few years ago was struggling badly. And I think that makes the job of a finisher a lot more difficult. Hopefully as a whole we've improved and we get to see Montoya play his best football for us. His first task is to ensure he does enough to hear Wilson and the rest of our wing candidates into the top 17. I really think the decision to let JAC go was made easier because Wilson killed it last year. So straight away I think Montoya has a fight on his hands to earn an NRL spot.

But congrats to him on the twins and welcome back Marcelo.

Pretty amazing that people rate him above Wilson in my opinion, Wilson's had part of a season and was great for us, im glad CC has the decision to make and i'll go with his judgment he's made mostly good decisions so far
 
Bringing back someone like Montoya is all planned he has uncomplete business with the club and he do better this season. Good finisher and hope he catches all those big booms

The other funny part is people talking about his passion for the club, he only left the warriors because they didn't offer him an extension, he even says this in the video lol
 
I’ve got Wilson slightly ahead of Monty. But one thing you know about Monty is when he gets his chance in the top grade the bloke will throw his body on the line for the club.

It's a mixed bag on that really. I'm a fan of Wilson. I'm pretty sure that his first year with us was his first in a professional football system and he did enough to earn his debut that year. I don't think he's put a foot wrong and if I was on the selection panel I'd reward his form from last year with more games this year. But I'm ok with whichever decision the coaching staff make. They didn't pick Montoya up to run oranges. So I'm going to watch with interest and see who earns the vacant wing.

We would have signed him for about half of what the Fox was on . . . You need to have signings like this, to have the cap space to sign the likes of Thompson . . .Cap management baby !
 
The time for talking will end in a few weeks and all that will matter is form and fitness- you can’t win a comp with a top 17 so I’m looking forward to what our boys competing for positions can deliver.
 
Purely for the sake of my club, I hope this does not end in tears…. If I’m wrong I’ll be first to admit it, but this bloke will make a costly mistake let alone the uncostly ones.

feet for hands, killed us SOOOO many times, I sat through those shit years, and I believe he represents that.
