I think as do others your knock or meh attitude about him is mis-placed mate, the kid literally turned 19 only a month ago plus has had soft tissue injuries this year and therefore has only just played his first NSW cup game.

No g'tee he will be a gun obviously but its also unfair to compare him to other young aged debutants e.g Galvin as he is only smallish in stature and just needs some time to develop physically.
Hope blokes like Terry Lamb are having a word and encouraging him at training, imagine if it turned out he was nearly or as good as that pintsized
I should have waited until after the game to comment, however in my opinion there were better players at this age out there than him.

It’s my opinion, and I’m entitled to it. I really hope he lives up to the hype obviously!

I'm making the assumption you haven't used one before. If you have, disregard everything beyond the full stop at the end of this sentence. But as long as the tv you are using has a USB port, you should be able to pick up a Chromecast adapter for a little over $20. once you follow the steps to set it up (easy enough) you just have to tap the cast image on the video you're watching on your phone and you can watch the games on the tv screen.
Haha of course I have mate. Im only 44 after all.
I've just been staying with family here that don't have smart TV's. Yes they still exist. I also didn't consider streaming with the 9app until a few weeks ago. Until this point I was just watching replays on NRL.com which can't be cast. Anyways, I fly home on Tuesday and I will be back to my nice big smart TV and kayo sports.
I appreciate the advice though mate.

You’re opinion won’t change because you’re a real hard man shitbagging kids, piss weak
A dead shit giving it to a dead shit.

The circle of life.

I’m reading through all your posts actually and yeah you are an absolute deadshit mate. Surely others have pointed it out as well.
I didn’t bother pointing it out, he does that all by himself!

That is your interpretation. It wasn't actually about when they should debut, it was about when halves develop, implying that there's no need to rush them into FG.
I think you have a bit of a jaded view because you're a dogs fan, and thats understandable, we're all still recovering lol. IF they are ready and a spot is available, absolutely but the second part implies you think you should throw them in so you don't lose them. But if the expectation for young kids is "if im not in FG by 19, im leaving" this is a bad precedence to set, as you should earn the spot, not be there because "we dont want them to lose interest".
In the tigers circumstances with galvin, they really didnt have anyone else and he showed good signs so they debuted him, but in ours, we have sexton, galvin, burton and a few up and comers that could (but probably wont) take the spot if the world falls apart. So I don't think we need to rush woodsy, I will say that I do agree that I don't wanna lose him either but I'd rather give him the time he needs so that when he starts for us, he can kill it.
The worst that can happen, is we throw him in too soon and it's all too much for him and then everyone has a meltdown because he's actually not the second coming of jesus lol.
I heard him interviewed after the U19s origin and he is such a humble kid!. Said he absolutely loves the dogs and is totally prepared, and happy, to bide his time until he deserves a shot. Very level headed kid!!!

Looks like you’ve found one of your own :tearsofjoy:

I'm about the same age as you. I'm still operating with a non smart TV. Touch wood the current TV I've had for about 15 years is going strong. Highly recommend Panasonic's at least from 2010. So I use a Chromecast.

That's a bloody good life for a TV. We had an LG dumb TV for about 10 years. Still have it actually, but I wanted a bigger, smart TV for football. Highly don't recommend a Hisense TV. Lol

I've probably jinxed it by saying how long I've had it. It's a 55 inch that I bought to at the same time as an old Xbox because I just wanted a big ass TV to play games on. I dare say the fact that I can go 3-4 days without switching it on at times has helped it live this long.

Well i watched the entire 80 & The 6 for Qld was man of the match followed by Rodwell. Then I would say Woods was with a group of players like the Qld 1 & 7 who certainly showed they will play a lot of 1st grade in their future careers. Woods has a run first mentality which is great but he ran too much in that game but he will get better at choosing the best option for the team as he gets more experience.
In his junior age group he can get away with that approach. The step up in standard to SoO U19 restricted him in H1 but he adjusted for H2. Good signs. Hence spending more time in Cup for remainder 2025 will set him up well for an NRL tilt in 2026+. However, one of our current NRL spine will have to leave & make way in 2026 to fit him in.

Woods had a great game, what I liked most was he was involved in defence big time, making tackles and their forwards and has the speed and flare naturally, hopefully he will be a gun
