Pearce is overrated as fuck... always made to look good by his halves partner.

Only played origin because his dad was on the panel of selectors, and he's relied on his surname rather than ability throughout his career.
he's not really, hes one of the most well rounded halves in the comp. Topped the competition for line break assists this year.

I don’t think Pearce will leave the Roosters. He’s pissed off and not feeling the love. He’s not stupid. He will know the club is a big chance of winning a premiership in 2018 and 2019, and will want to be a part of it. Playing at Newcastle or Manly, that sharnt be happening.
The dust will settle and he will stay put.

Yh it's a lot easier to win a comp when you cheat tbh.

Looks like he has been told to look around but say he wants to leave, great loyalty by the Roosters who will do anything to accommodate Cronk.

Don't think winning a premiership is the primary reason. More than likely considers himself as the biggest reason for the Roosters success...then when his ego has to play second fiddle to Cronk, he's not liking it, prompting him to go to another team

Like in 2004 ?
Who cheated in 2004? The NRL went though the Bulldogs books quite thoroughly during 2002-2004 & actually helped the Dogs make sure of it, so in effect we were the cleanest club in the competition in that season. Can't say that about any other club can we?

i find it incongruous that Mitchell Pearce has indicated that he wants a release from the Roosters. He derailed the entire 2016 with his abhorrent behaviour on Australia Day, and should be eternally grateful the club stood by him.
Ok , so Cooper Cronk is coming to the club. At no stage did the Roosters tell Pearce, he wouldn’t be playing first grade. There was every chance he’d be playing along Cronk at 6. Pearce’s form in finals matches since 2013 has been poor. Yes, he’s a premiership winning player, but his performance in the GF was ordinary. He did SFA.
Mitchell Pearce should grow up. Embrace the fact that he’ll be a teammate of Cronk.
It's just the same scenario as Reynolds with us sick of all the talk of Foran coming so he got out of there.

Don't be too concerned, The only reason he will leave the Rorters accompanied by his mate Ferguson is because the Rorters have a better option in Cronk now, plus the club is using the players rumored latest indiscretion to sack them :tearsofjoy:

You're a dead set idiot if you would not take Pearce in our club, given the shambles the roster is in.

That’s because the team around him was worth $60m.

I don't recall us cheating in 2004... if you are referring to our players taking pay cuts to keep the squad together, that was all above board according to the rules at the time. Loopholes are there to be found.... in a way, a team needs to find them so they can be identified and ironed out by the reactives at NRL HQ. If you look at it that way, we did the game a service. :p

Anyway, another day in paradise over at Bondi! Haha.

Maybe you want to compare the bulldogs squad to the rorters squad in that period from 2002-2004????

90% of our players WERE ALL JUNIORS!!!!! We were the idiots who paid them overs, it wasn't the players demanding more money. Hence to retain our team was quite easy but we went through the stupid path and making sure their heads wouldn't be turned.

Meanwhile the rorters back then are the same case as today, the Salary sombrero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your club does a whole lot of shit off the books, but because its nicks offshore accounts, the NRL counts it as third party.

So don't point this bullshit finger at the dogs, your club were cheats back then and cheats today as well. The NRL gifted you 2002.

Tbh we did take advantage of cheating in 2002 for our 2004 win. Just because it's all above board doesn't mean you haven't got an unfair advantage still.

Just like Melbourne took advantage of there cheating in 2012, so did we in 2004.
