Took him out of that ball playing role that he didn't have the skill for...but has the audacity to say that we are playing the same style and structure.
JJ delusional and out of step with the obvious improvement in our play and the all round positive vibes coming from the team and supporters at the way they have improved since Potter came on board.

He'd want to snap out of it pretty smartly and start publicly acknowledging Potter as a good move for the team!

In terms of Potters win/loss record

V Tigers he barely met the team and his halftime speech got us back in the game

V Dragons (first full week in charge) another halftime comeback we also missed TPJ

V Panthers he drops Dufty and shifts Avo to 1. We look good on attack and go down fighting

V Eels (TPJ retuns) we smoke them
V Tigers (smoke them)
V Sharks - Potter has covid so not with the team but we still fight
V Souffs - attacking game is on point just let ourselves down defensively

Bottom line is we have looked 100000 times better than under Baz and the games we have lost we have been in every single one
Not denying any of this, however, he's had nothing to lose. Interim coach, out of finals reach, taken the shackles off, no pressure. Has he got it in him to do this from round 1? Is this his style or is it the playbook has just been thrown out the window?

If it is his style and he goes hard from round one with a much improved defensive coach and style, then it's a no brainer, the job is his!

Potter is a seasoned coach with PLENTY of experience. I think as a club, alot of our fans have forgotten the way our club operated in both Managerial and Coaching terms. We've been burnt for the last 6 or 7 years and are scarred. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that he will have us where we should be as a club which is definitely NOT shit.

Did you see press conference ? Was a passive aggressive reply by Jackson regarding players wanting to come here as we are now winning and playing with flare, potter obviously agrees but was reserved in his response and Jackson either delusional or still loving tbaz said he doesn’t agree with the statement. He bleeds blue but I say give captaincy to burton , ado carr, Flanagan , or king or reed next year.

I wouldn’t take his tigers tenure as evidence he had Farrah off side which disrupted the team plus Adam Blair was a flop.

Agree. Jacko is still uptight about Baz leaving and his influence I guess.

It's disappointing JJ doesn't appear to be publicly praising his new coach much or crediting Mick with the improved performances.

Jacko's captaincy and leadership still lacking.
He'll find it even harder to captain off the bench next year.

Probably Reed best option. Will be in the thick of it for the full 80 mins and appears to be able to handle the responsibility and can control the ruck and get in refs ear.

We need leaders.

A decent (assistant) defensive coach and maybe a different result.

You're asking us to look in the wrong direction. If you want some other bloke's name tattooed on your orchestras, it's your head that needs to be looked at.
Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Add to the Sharks game the conditions & that RFM dropped the ball over the line & that alleged push in the back try disallowed.

On topic, JJ has mentioned a few times in the presser that the reason we’re playing well is down to the spine having some cohesiveness, clearly avoiding to attribute any credit to Potter - But, highlighting this to JJ:
1.Barrett had 1.5 seasons to develop “cohesiveness” with mostly the same halves available to him and couldn’t find the mark. Potter found it in 2 weeks.
2.He rotated the halves like circus monkeys during that time, Potter has maintained Burto/Flanno, has not altered the combination.
3.He had a pre-season and approx 10 rounds to find a foil for Burton, couldn’t find one. Potter’s got Flanno taking more responsibility with ball in hand and kicking, not to mention, JMK is suddenly making elite plays where defenders need to adjust to his threat.
4.It was clear TB wanted to run every play through the hands of Burton or JJ basically rendering 50% of the spine useless in his eyes, this made us very predictable. Potter allows individuals to play to their strengths and “eyes up footy”.
5. After attempts at wing, centre and the halves, not once did he try Averillo in his preferred no.1 jersey - this almost resulted in Avo being discarded to NSW cup for all eternity.
6. JJ is not being used as a link man, he’s doing what he does best, make hard yards and tackle everything that moves.
7.Possibly the most important observation, the players were led to believe they were “doing enough” by TB, excuses were made for them - Potter has never excused a loss, he’s been big on focusing on NRL level performances and what is expected from professional athletes - he’s saying they are capable and still developing, this ensures they remain grounded but laced with a level of positivity.
