The dying horses is sad and it's part of the reason I don't like horse racing, but other than the race the horses are well taken care of and most of the horses run because they love to run.

They are also pumped full of performance enhancing stuff too, and anything that's not illegal but may be unethical.

I just don't see how it's at all acceptable to have continued deaths for entertainment and betting purposes.
