But the question is will it take to pay him about 900k to keep him at Belmore?
Well before the eels game the word was his manager was pushing for an upgrade to 750k.

With our cap situation, I wouldn't whinge about paying him that.

Yeah and funnily enough seems to always outplay the highly rated and specialist Penrith centre Crichton whenever they’re playing in the same team and origin 2 was no exception. Why is this??
Wow, so you've abandoned trying to convince me he is already a great FG 5/8th to comparing him in the centres in Origin?

What you trying to say? Because he is a better centre than Crichton that makes him worth a million a season to learn how to be a great 5/8th?

The Kennel..

Five weeks ago.. Burton is shit.. He's a centre.. He can fuck off if he wants more money..

Three weeks ago.. He's so good. I knew he would make it. What a talent. He's our long term half..

After Origin.. Sign Burto up for life! Pay him whatever he wants! He's the best half in the comp..

After a game played in 400mm of rain and he backs up from Origin for the first time.. Burton is shit.. He's not worth the money. I told you he was a centre..
I think a lot of kennelers are bipolar, I know I am and if you ask me my opinion well my opinion is split on this topic, Soo is a big step up from club games and having to back up on Saturday on a ground that was bogged down which meant Burton had to put in more effort maybe he wasn't expecting Soo to be so tough, he'll probably be better prepared after the next Soo game.

I don't get all the holier-than-thou bullshit on here sometimes...

If a player plays shit it pisses fans off and get bagged, if they play well, of course they praise them.

Some people wank on like they just started following a team and are new to this...

How are we back to debating whether Burton is good enough to be a regular FG 5/8th when he tore Parra and the Tigers to shreds and had 1 try and 5 try assists in his last 3 games before playing in a monsoon against a top 4 team?

And just a week earlier he was one of the best players on the park in Origin..

Why can't he just have a shit game backing up from Origin for the first time when playing against a good team in horrible conditions? Why does it have to be more than that?

I'm guessing this is a thing when some are saying give him a million.

Only the drunk Buzz and a few fans said give him a million. Everyone else knows that's over the top. Doesn't mean because he has one shit game after dominating in Origin and against Parra and the Tigers that he has to be overrated etc. It's one extreme or the other too often on here.

Not just here, IRL too.

I still love him but he does need improvement in all aspects. Plus like I mentioned the gap between his good and bad games needs to lessen. But that all comes from game experience.

Doesn't make him shit.

Ok I’ll put a different spin on it. If he was Panthers 5/8 right now I’d be very confident that he’d be regarded a better 5/8 than Luai. Of course playing in a star studded team that discovered a winning formula a number of years ago would play it’s part.

It’s a combination of narrow mindedness and limited comprehension of the game why people don’t get that we’re not seeing consistency in his game atm. I’m sure the experts would have no hesitation in selecting him at 5/8 for the decider should Luai become unavailable tomorrow.

Because he needs to do more than kick a ball.

We are seeing inconsistency because he is still learning his trade as a FG 5/8th.

I dont think anyone wants to give him a mill but that's probably what it will take to keep him also depends on how much of it can be hidden in third party.

100% he hinders his improvement.

Not saying he is the answer but I'd like to see how BBO goes next to Burton. He actually might be helpful.
