Actually forget that. Plane is 2 dimensional terminology (I'm rusty with mathematical terms)

3 (length) x 3 (width) = 9

Increase by scale of 3

9 (length) x 9 (width) = 81

81 ÷ 9 = 9 (ratio)

9 (ratio) ÷ 3 (scale) = 3

Again 3 squared
