Hated him at first but have grown too love the enigma that is Balotelli if he plays for Italy in the Euro 2012 he could be the x-facor they've lacked up front...

Mario Balotelli's penchant for eccentric behaviour continued on Thursday when the Manchester City striker walked into a local college and asked a student where the toilets were located.
Balotelli, who featured in City's Carling Cup tie with Liverpool on Wednesday evening, parked his Bentley outside Xaverian College at around 1.30pm before walking into the canteen and making the inquiry
After using the facilities the 21-year-old Italy international went into the staff room to speak to teachers before spending 20 minutes walking round the college campus accompanied by students.
Eighteen-year-old Edward Gasson was sitting in the canteen when Balotelli arrived out of the blue. "Balotelli parked his Bentley outside, then came in and was asking where the toilets were, then he went to the teachers' staff room," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"After that he was just walking round campus like he owned the place and everyone was following him around.
"I'm a City fan so it was amazing to see him but it was a bit ridiculous for him to come here – you would never expect it to happen."
A spokesperson for the Catholic college said: "Xaverian was delighted to receive a surprise visit from Mario, who chatted to some of the students at one of Manchester's most successful colleges.
"We weren't able to enrol him on any courses but he is welcome back anytime."
This is not the first occasion Balotelli has drawn attention for controversial behaviour. In 2010 he drove through an open security gate at a women's prison in Italy to look around, while in October he set his house on fire after letting off fireworks in his bathroom.
He also visited a school in Manchester last year to confront a youth about bullying a fellow pupil.

Manchester City chief Mancini was planning to start the Italian striker against Bolton today.
Now the controversial star is facing the axe for his latest misdemeanour.
Balotelli, 21, was snapped leaving the 'X In The City' strip club in Liverpool at 2.45am yesterday morning.
Mancini expects his players to be at home and in bed at that time with a first-team game less than 48 hours away.
Mancini will be especially angry as he was relying on 13-goal Balotelli today with both Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero returning from internationals.
There was no suggestion Balotelli was drunk as he is a tee-totaller.
But this is just the latest in a long list of incidents involving the player since he arrived for £22million from Inter.
He recently returned from a four-game ban after stamping on Scott Parker.
That was his second red card this season and fourth in all since joining the club in August 2010.
Most recently off the pitch Balotelli and some pals set fire to his house when they exploded fireworks from the bathroom window. Just this week he was left out of the Italian squad for the game against USA with coach Cesare Prandelli citing his indiscipline.
Mancini jumped to his defence yesterday claiming he was still the best striker in Italy. But that was before he learned of Balotelli's latest howler.
Mancini said: "Mario is the best Italian striker, 100 per cent. I hope after this week, with him not playing for Italy, it will help him in for the rest of this season.
"We know Mario is a top player but he should improve his behaviour."

Increasingly exasperated by the Manchester City striker’s off-field antics, Mancini imposed the maximum penalty of two weeks’ wages after quizzing him about being photographed leaving a strip club in Liverpool at 2.45am on Friday.
The timing of Balotelli’s latest indiscretion particularly angered Mancini, with City’s other strikers away on international duty, but he insisted his patience is not yet at breaking point.
The City manager will persevere with the 21-year-old but warned him he is jeopardising his future and urged him to try and find himself a wife.
‘It could be that marriage would help him in that respect,’ he said. ‘That could be the answer, because I am sure he understands that he has made a mistake. Mario is like this, but there is nothing we can do if he does not eventually realise he cannot keep doing this.
‘It seems anything can happen with him at any moment. He is his own worst enemy and it is 100 per cent that he should have learned by now. When you are a professional, you should know you cannot stay out until after two o’clock in the morning, so close to a game.
‘He needs to understand this. Now he is young, but at 25 or 26 it will be different. If you do not have a good private life then, you will not be able to play at the top level.
'Sometimes I feel a bit let down. These things will happen at his age, but after 100 times, I think he should understand what is going on around him.
‘I am very kind with him but, like all the players, he knows he has to behave well to stay in the team. He was on the bench five or six times at the start of the season, because his behaviour was not good. I think he is just immature, but he will have to pay for it.’
Balotelli’s antics ensured he grabbed the headlines for the wrong reasons despite scoring in City’s 2-0 home win over Bolton on Saturday and his ability ensures Mancini remains patient.
‘Do I think he’s more trouble than he’s worth? No. I have a lot of patience with him,’ said Mancini.
‘Probably he gets bored quickly. There is no malice. He just doesn’t think that there is a game in two days, that players are away on international duty and that we prepare for him to be the main striker because he would be freshest.
‘He doesn’t think along those lines, but this has to change.’

Manchester City footballer Mario Balotelli has been involved in a car crash.
The 21-year-old Italian, who drives a Bentley, was in collision with another vehicle in Medlock Street, near Deansgate, in Manchester city centre.
The striker is believed to have been unhurt in the incident. A passenger from one of the cars was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The footballer also escaped unhurt from a car crash in August 2010 in Hulme.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly after 3.15pm, police were called to Medlock Street, Manchester city centre to reports of a collision between two cars.
"The passenger of one of the cars was taken to hospital for precautionary measures.
Trafford Centre row
The statement added: "Inquiries are ongoing."
Balotelli joined Manchester City in 2010 for a reported £24m after moving from Inter Milan.
Last month Balotelli was asked to leave the Trafford Centre after refusing to take down the hood of his top.
In October last year firefighters were called to the player's Cheshire home after an explosive set alight his bathroom.
That month, when he scored the opening goal during a Manchester derby game at Old Trafford, Balotelli made reference to various controversial incidents he has been involved in since joining City.
The striker lifted his top to reveal a T-shirt bearing the slogan "Why always me?".

SOCCER’S Mario Balotelli cheated on his model girlfriend by having sex with Wayne Rooney threesome hooker Jennifer Thompson.
The Manchester City star, 21, bedded Jennifer, 24, even though he once taunted her over her 2010 romp with Man U’s Rooney.
The footie bad boy slept with Jennifer two days before he declared his love for his long-term girlfriend in front of 47,000 fans.
The striker met former escort girl Jennifer five times and had sex with her twice behind the back of gorgeous model Raffaella Fico, The Sun can reveal.
Jennifer became notorious in 2010 when it was revealed Manchester United superstar Wayne Rooney paid her and hooker pal Helen Wood £1,200 for a seedy threesome in a hotel.
Two days after bedding Jennifer, Italian Balotelli lifted his Man City shirt when he scored against Blackburn Rovers to reveal a scrawled message reading “Raffaella Ti Amo” — meaning “Raffaella, I love you”.
Five days after that the goal ace was seen in a strip club. And the following day he met party girl Jennifer again, though they did not have sex on that occasion.
Their relationship was unlikely given Balotelli taunted her about her threesome with Rooney when he spotted her in a restaurant last year. Shocked diners heard him chant “Rooney, Rooney” at her as she walked past tables.
Balotelli finally called time on the fling after revealing he had a regular girlfriend.
A friend of Jennifer said: “It wasn’t just a one-off. Jenny saw Mario five or so times and they had sex twice.
“The first time was after a night out in Manchester and he invited her back to a party at his mansion. A fair bit of champagne was flowing and things moved on from there.

Mr Raiola added: “Mario prefers to admit what has happened, has refused any means to try to keep the matter silent and will deal with any consequences his actions bring in the way of public attention.”
Rooney had his hotel threesome while his wife Coleen was pregnant. And for a time, it left their marriage on a knife edge.
