Drop Sexyboy for the Prince of Belmore too, watch things REALLY kick off here...

I hear Reimis Smith is looking for a gig. Maybe we can convince Storm to let Meaney go too? Will Knights let us have Elliott back?

This is a backwards move. Probably won’t even make the 8 next year.

Couldn’t be effed reading the comments but if someone really compared Montoya to To’o they need to hand in any RL knowledge they have.
To’o is possibly the hardest working winger in the history of the game. Not only is he a metre eater he beats anyone opposition winger to the try line
Lol ur referring to me. Misinterpreted. I said penrith have proven u dont need best wingers in game. To’o is a gun yet my comment was more aligned to two wingers in every team. There other winger has been quite ordinary. Won a comp with Staines in wing, Tuuava been found out many many times. They simply rely on hard work

Please note, if you want to make a deal with this user, that it is blocked.
Could have just kept Skelton for presumably far less.
It’s a strange decision considering we were most likely moving on Ado Carr after 2025 anyway. Hmm

This seems like a case one step backwards and two step forwards.

Is Fox a better winger than MM?
Yes! But what if they’re freeing up cap space to sign Leo Thompson, Lazarus Vaalepu or Xavier Wilison?

If that’s the plan I’m all for it because we all know we need middles more than wingers right now.

The other thing is when you have a weaker middle forward rotation is you gotta get yardage from somewhere and MM is gonna be infinitely better than Fox on kick returns and get our sets off to a better start.

Fox got bent over backwards EVERY time he took a hit up. When he was on the field that is…

Im not a fan of signing. Yet im sure any yesteryear player in our team now looks a whole lot better. We have better players and coaches

This is very clearly a Skelton replacement

will only play if there is an injury to Kiraz/Wilson and more so in the first half of the season while Su’a gains more experience in cup. Expect our winger hierarchy to be Kiraz, Wilson, Su’a, Marcelo after rnd 12

Also has the benefit of already knowing the defensive system so won’t need a full year to adjust. Would be on close to min wage. Dont get me wrong he is bog average but what do you expect of a 3rd/4th string winger at any club.

can cover center to replace critta during origin period as well

Who had Marcel Montoyo on their Bulldogs Recruitment Bingo Card?
Ouch.

Got some decent centre depth now

clark got a run and didn’t look too out of place
Gabrael and Afualo were two of our best in flegg and will be pushing hard through cup

Montoya by all reports trains hard, doesn’t sook and is liked among players/coaches.

but addo-carr goes brrrrrrrrrrr

Losing Skelton and more than likely Fox

Would have left us with 3 wingers

Depending on how bad Wilson's injury is we could only have two wingers

So Montoya's signing was a good idea
