Channel Nine were discussing the Broncos ‘06 GF victory and they brought up th Dogs vs Broncos QF and the sledge that big Willie gave the broncos in the tunnel.
They crossed live to both Lockyer and Mace and Mace was taking it in jest saying that everyone at the bulldogs has blamed him for the loss and that a lot of people at the bulldogs thought that the 2006 side was the best and should have taken it out.
Mace mentioned how he believed Shane webkce and Wayne Bennett we’re responsible for exaggerating his words. Mace claimed he simply said 40 more minutes boys and we’ve got this gf
Lockyer was adamant that he had called them old and words to that effect
It was quite interesting seeing Mace still a little fried up and defensive over the whole thing
Surely that’s gotta be his doggies pride
