Luke Patten Called into NSW Origin, 18th man

They said his cover for gidley who wont be able to train till monday our game is sunday, What happens if he trains on monday and is fit?

I doubt he will play unless Gidley is cleared before then, which is unlikely.

He is backup so maybe he might be able to play for us

hopefully and the blues

....What's with the negativity? This is awesome news and far too long has Patten been overlooked, even if he doesn't play it must feel awesome finally getting some origin recognition for the General. Quit whinging that it's a dead rubber game, it's still a representative level game and I'm sure him among the other Bulldogs players in it would love to play.
 
josh played when he was cover so there should be no reason y he wont play
 
Good on Luke. He would love this!

IMO this will be his only game IF he plays. He won't get chosen next year so hopefully he plays this game.

As much as it sucks for the Bulldogs who want to win round 18, there are plenty of positives, including a very happy and deserving Luke Patten :grinning:

Dude were whingin because the 2 points on sunday are far more important then a dead rubber.

Exactly. Patten would be stoked at the moment. Hopefully Gidley cant play so Patten gets his long overdue Blues jumper.

Yeah you're prob right. Just thinking about it and Luke Lewis couldn't play for the Panthers when he was 18th man in Origin I.

Well I hope for The Generals sake he gets to play. He has been one of the best and most consistent fullbacks for a long time. He deserves to finally get his shot.
 
COngrats to the General but for **** sakes.

They pick our players in the game where they aren't even needed and when we play the Warriors.

I don't want to ****ing lose to the Warriors!

I'd rather see the Bulldogs win than NSW.
 
Going to be real ****ing dirty if he cant play for the dogs and dosent play origin.
 
Well I hope he gets a run cuz he wont be playing for us. Good for him. We may be well understrength but it would be foolish of NZ to take us lightly.

Good luck to patten but LOL at NSW selectors they should of put haynes to fullback and bring in brett morris. maybe the selectors are trying to **** up the bulldogs chances of wining this sunday :p
