So far it's not season ending boys.MAYBE back in 2 weeks. We should have him back either last round or first semi.

Sounds crazy but I'd seriously consider hodko at 9 with Reynolds and Mbye in the halves. He's leaving and gives the others time to develop their combination but keeps him on the Park, easily the best defender of the three and the worst runner. Definately have him defending in the middle, and he can occasionally drop back on tackle 4/5. Having a Hooker who can kick would be amazing for a change. I'd rather all three of hodko, jrey and Mbye on the field with a 4 forward bench than bringing in cook, benching a half or dropping one of them. At least defend him in the middle.
Des was saying in the press conference that Reynolds is still 2-3 weeks away.

cook will come straight in. des pretty much all but confirmed he will get the gig. leesh he reckons is not season ending and only a couple of weeks.
I hope you're right on both counts G.M.

If Hasler keeps it simple Cook will be given just two jobs to do:

1. Tackle his arese off
2. Give us go forward from dummy half

Personally I think Cook could give us a pleasant surprise at dummy half. He is supposed to have genuine pace; if he is selective in running from dummy half we could have Souths doing big metres going backwards.

Cooks game wont suit Des's coaching style. I expect Des to start Jackson at Hooker and swap postion with Mbye or Trent.

Lichaa Injury Update

Written by STEVEN RUSSO, August 16, 2015

Bulldogs coach Des Hasler has confirmed that first choice rake Michael Lichaa will miss at least “couple of weeks” after sustaining a suspected foot fracture in today’s 36-14 over the Titans.

Lichaa was taken from the field early in the first half after his foot got caught in the Central Coast Stadium turf during a regulation tackle. He didn’t return to the game and was later seen hobbling around in a moon boot.

Hasler confirmed that the former Shark is set have scans tonight, but expects to see NSW Cup hooker Damien Cook to in his top 17 next week.

“He (Lichaa) might have a fracture, he’s off to get it scanned and x-ray-ed now,” Hasler said post-match.

“It’s not a season-ending (injury), no doubt it will mark a couple of weeks for him.

“Damien Cook has been doing a great job in Premier League (NSW Cup) and he’s just been waiting and waiting for his opportunity.

“He’ll step into the fray and he’ll handle it pretty well.”

The Bulldogs led 12-4 at halftime, and while they were able build on that led early in the second stanza, a mini-revival saw the Gold Coast get within six points with 20 minutes to go. The Bulldogs did manage to close to the game out but Hasler said his side’s eagerness to promote the ball invited the Titans back into the game.

“We probably made it a little more difficult for ourselves than we needed to,” Hasler said.

“I thought we were a little too sideways and probably tried to force a pass, force an offload which kind of brings an opposition back into the contest.”

I have a feeling Cook is going to rip it up.

I hope this isn't an excuse to move Mbye from 6 to 9 when Reynolds returns.

Go with the specialist hooker in Cook.

Hodko had some decent pick ups in todays game from hooker but his knees wouldn't allow him to play dummy half. To much running and tackling.

He has 4 weeks to heal and souths are depleted and we should get over the knights and warriors easily so we should be ok until his return.

Who cares, he will only get himself suspended and disrupt the team once again.
