Not for the dogs he will get snapped up soon by another club. Dogs seem to have a problem keeping talent
You do know a club struggling to keep talent is usually a good sign for the club hey? It usually means the FG side is settled and the reserves are good enough to get a FG start elsewhere. Struggling to get rid of players is more our problem lol. And any reserve grader who gets an offer to play FG elsewhere would be an idiot to stay. Even as far back as JT, JT would have been stupid to play in reserves until Anasta left (and we didnt know in 2004 Anasta was going). And our club would have been stupid to pay JT a lot to play reserve grade too. And you dont drop the current premiership winning and origin half, to play a reserve grader either.

Some shit is just how it works, and people need to understand that. Its not a problem with the club. EVERY club loses good players. How about Storm? The players they have lost over the years to other clubs and sports?

Thats why the kennel is so good allows all of us to voice our opinion even if we dont agree but you have your opinion on Lewis and happy to have mine
That is so true, we all have different opinions and being Dogs supporters we are also stubborn, passionate and have differing opinions and we all think we are right...

BUT.... Lewis is not FG material !! haha

Lewis has been handed the captaincy this week.

So for all the doubters stick that one up ya's :tearsofjoy:
Just kidding.

But well done Lachlan. He has a presence on the field because of his efforts.

There have been plenty of coaches that have been wrong about whether a player will make it or is suited to 1st grade. Sometimes being told such a thing by a coach is the spark that lights the fire.

However seeing so many fans that are NOT experts or coaches write off so many players before they are ever given a crack is just disrespectful, it does not acknowledge the sacrifices made and does nothing to motivate young players.

Agree with you there. I think we are in a position to let some of these high paid players go with our salary cap the way it is. Would be happy to see the likes of Lewis and co in isp be promoted. Keep a few let this rest go lets start from scratch and enjoy watching guys have a go. One of them might end up being a star. Be nice for the kids to have an idol in a bulldogs team we havent had one for a while.
