Duncan Mcrae! U legend, how you remember that much is awesome! Best day full of Euporia! lol

You reckon the people that left early to beat the traffic are still burning?
My mates wanted to leave early. I remember saying we will make a come back like reserve grade. They didn't believe me. To this day when we catch up we talk about how I was the only one who believed in them out of us. Maybe I was just the drunkest at the time.

Golden Point semi Final wins against Manly 2014 & Dragons 2015 are worth remembering.. hate both teams , made even sweeter having mates that follow them

94 Prelim was epic also.. went yo Extra Time against a star studded salary cap cheating Canberra side - Halligan kicked the field goal to get us through

Idris scored on debut I believe!! what a night
Idris scored on debut but his debut was in 2008. I meant Goodwin's debut with us. It was torrential rain as well.

hard to limit it to 3 moments and a lot of have already been mentioned... but off the top of my head -

* winning the the 1985 GF and the Mortimer brothers and their kids doing a victory lap around the SCG
* Preliminary final victory vs the Raiders in 1994 with Halligan kicking a field goal
* the 1995 finals run which saw us knock off the 2 glamour sides of the 90's, the Broncos and Raiders, and with the Raiders exacting revenge for the previous year's massacre in the GF, and then beating an awesome Manly side in the GF and holding them tryless... finals specialists
* 1998 Preliminary Final vs Parramatta... at 18-2 down, i was certain we were gone but to come back and against the Eels... incredible... i only wish Polla-Mounter's field goal attempt on the bell was successful --> would have made it the greatest 12 minutes of rugby league ever
* O'Meley and Bryce Gibbs clashing with Gibbs getting knocked out when trying to make a tackle
* our victory vs Brisbane in Brisbane in 2004... as good a regular season performance as we have ever displayed... and with Patten in the bin for 10 minutes and Tim Mander ref... an Origin atmosphere and yet we pumped a star-studded Broncos 46-18
* El Masri's sideline conversion against the Knights in 2002
* Barba in 2012... i enjoyed watching Barba that whole season as much as i enjoyed watching any Bulldogs player i have ever watched
* i forget the details now but there was a game in 2010(?) against the Roosters where we put 60+ on them including a try to Morris after a kick off which saw Martin Kennedy slip and cop a passed ball straight to the head which then got picked up by Morris who then scored
* Utai's match winner against the Roosters in 2003 after all that rubbish from them about how they were the best team of 2002
* Brent Sherwin's performance vs the Storm in 2004 finals... terribly underrated at his best and there he was vintage... made future legends (ie. Cameron Smith and Billy Slater) look second rate
* 2004 GF... 2001-2004 was hard being a Bulldogs fan as the media, public and rival fans really went overboard with the Doggie hate... literally had "experts" saying on TV that we were dead as a brand and would need to relocate in 2004... had Darren Lockyer make that "raper" joke... and yet by the end of the year we were champions... no other club in the NRL could have endured and prevailed against such pressure... the club is true steel as compared to the tin other clubs have proven to be (eg. Eels)
* i'm being bad with this one but Terry Lamb knocking Ellery Hanley out in the 1988 GF --> whatever was needed to win, Lamb would do
* Steve Mortimer playing as a substitute in the 1988 GF after having suffered a broken arm(?) earlier in the season... it was hard to imagine not watching him anymore after that... the greatest to have played for our club
* just watching Geoff Robinson run into players with reckless abandon
* Nigel Vagana scoring 5 tries vs the Rabbits
* Andrew Ryan climbing on and slipping on the bobcat at his last home game
* the sea of fans celebrating Hazem's last game
* Lamb returning for the 1996 season after the perfect send off with the 1995 GF victory because the club needed him after the ARL players broke away

great moments indicate a great club
This man wins the internet.

I remember we didn't go to that game as we had other engagements on that day, but got home in time to listen to the 2nd half on the radio (it was delayed on 9 and fox). It was 18-2 then we turned the radio off, said it was game over. We turned in on 5 mins later and it was 18-6, thought maybe still too much. Just as we thought that, Rod Silva dashed over and scored. Halligan converted, then 2 mins later it happened again. It was 18 all we couldn't believe it. I then remember Ray Hadley was calling the game and Polly attempted that FG. Ray Hadley actually lost his voice as he screamed "FIELD GOAL" - the whole house erupted. Everyone thought he got it.

Then the floodgates opened and it was game over. 1 way traffic.

The next day when I was walking through Campsie, somehow overnight, the council managed to get blue and white streamers put all across the rooftops of the shops on Beamish St :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

So many memories but the one that is still fresh in.my mind was rd26 last year against the dragons.

I have grown up to hate Saints with a passion and the hate is reciprocated as well by all my close saints mates.

After the Dragons leading the comp last year and having to put with the saints supporters loud mouths all year, it came down to that final game.

Dogs win and saints are out of the comp, whereas saints win and they make semis and giving them bragging rights.

That game felt like a grand final, saints desperate to win and dogs desperate to salvage the year. Watched it at home and the joy I got from that game was unbelievable. It was like we had won the grand final the way I carried on. Then to be able to rub it in to all my saints mates was so freaking sweet.

The rivalry and passion that a non semi final game could bring is what makes the Nrl what it is.

Beating the roosters in 04 GF. / THAT CRYING ROOSTERS SUPPORTER/girl NEAR ON FULL TIME.

Comeback from behind to beat Newcastle after the bell from the side line.

Matt Utai slam powering through 4 roosters from 15 out and slamming the shit out of the ball so hard it almost popped. Then that leap in the air lol.

1. 1995 gf

2. 1998 semis run. Rod Silva made the undercut fashionable.

3. 2002 game against knights + 17 in a row run.

4. 2004 - pretty much whole season.

5. 2012 ben barba show and went off the rails the year after that so it rendered the season nugatory.

So yeah shit all since 2004.

That’s it.

1. 1995 GF. After the heartbreak of the 94 GF, knowing that Lamb will be retiring after the game (he said so at the time) and that players will be leaving to join the ARL it was a massive relief and enjoyment to win the title that year.

2. 1985 GF. First rugby league game that I ever watched. My best mate was a Dragons supporter but my dad was a Bulldogs supporter and he made me undertsand that the Bulldogs represent our area so we need to be loyal to them. We won the game 7-6 and from that day I was hooked. Loved how Steve Mortimer played so he became my Favourite player.

3. 1998 semi-final against the Eels. Down 18-2 with 9 minutes to go. I thought we were dead and buried. Came back to win the game in overtime. CPM and Halligan were immense that game.

Honourable mentions: 2004 GF, 1988 GF, 1994 semi to make the GF, SBW debut game, Defeating the Knights to keep up the streak and the whole 1995 final series.

2012 Dogs was some of the best footy I've ever seen, everything they did was so fluent. I bet if the Storm didn't cop that ban the Dogs would have prevailed except for a Storm side that was extremely determined to prove everyone wrong.

Yes. Our attack wasn’t fluid coz we relied on barba and defensively on the goal line we couldn’t handle decoys on josh reynolds/josh jackson/inu side. Other than that we did ok but a year to forget. Not as painful as 2006 though.

We would've won if Hasler could actually read a game and told our halves to kick behind Will Chambers.

2012 season was magical.

2014 Rise from the dead.

Led by Ennis who gave no fucks about Des's stupid coaching and got us to the GF.

2017 announcement that Des was goooooooone.

Surely the 1980 Grand Final is up there ?
The entertainers had lost to Easts twice during the year but towelled them up in the major semi final & actually were the underdogs in the grand final as Easts had slaughtered Wests 41-5 in the final.
The GF was never in doubt. I was happy for their wonderful coach Ted Glossop who taught my mum at school. He was such a gentlemen of the game.

1. 1998 semi against Parramatta. Was lucky enough to be at that game and hearing Parra fans singing bring in the Broncos with about 15 mins to go. Was the best end to a game ive seen

2. 1995 GF against Manly. I was only 15 but i remember my manly supporting father not watching the end of the game and going out and cleaning the garage....

3. 2002 against Newcastle. Again i was lucky enough to be at that game. we were getting pumped the first half and to come back and win like that was awesome. Newcastle stadium was packed and i was with 2 Newcastle fans..gave them shit all the way back to Sydney
Weird - these are my three, and I was at the ground for 1 and 3 just like yourself. #3, I was standing right behind Haz as he kicked it, and got to watch every glorious moment as it sailed between the sticks.

Re: #2 I was 17, and my Dad and I had come to Sydney from the bush for some interviews at Uni colleges. Watched it on a small B&W TV from a dodgy motel in Coogee.

Dragons v Dogs @ Kograh in 06. Such a tightly fought contest. Big hits all night. Holdsworth played well against his old club (I think he scored a double).
Barba scoring 4 against Canberra - last round in 2011.
04 Grand final (der)
Semi final v Melbourne in 04. Wow. I remember the olympics were on at the time - getting the paper the next day and rather than a 3-2-1 type voting for player of the match, it was gold silver bronze. Gold went to Shifty. Absolutely destroyed them. A masterclass the likes of which I have not seen of a halfback from our club since
@Rodzilla still has that up on YouTube (Bulldogs vs dragons) under "how the Bulldogs used to conduct business"

The 2006 Bulldogs forward pack was the best ever assembled in the league I don’t care what anyone says.

8. O’Meley
9. Hughes
10. Mason
11. Myles
12. Ryan
13. Maitua

14. Asotasi
15. SBW

Each of those hard hitters in their prime, pretty sure we had SBW and Roy on the bench against the Broncos in the PF we lost but fuck me dead this forward pack was not to be messed with.
