Exactly. If we could get a middle rotation going that are pumping out numbers like that we would be fine.
Have u got Hughes number also. Be good comparison. I agree Hughes needs to do more

Given that they've kept Thompson on promising rookie money, they'll have negated loyalty to an extent.

The issue right now is that props that are fit are suddenly a lot more valuable with the repeat sets that refs hand out like 5c lollipops at kids birthday parties. So Thompson is due for a big jump in pay and plenty of clubs will be willing to throw their hat in the ring.

So as much as I hope he's keen to join us, the fact is he'll have plenty of options and I don't think we'll be paying overs. There will be a few clubs desperate enough to throw the kitchen sink at him.

Here's all three of our starting props stats side by side to ponder...
If we're calling Curran a prop? I think we are..
He seems to be beating the "real" props in key areas anyway...

I couldn't say. But anything better than a solid prop with a big engine seems to get chased hard these days. I think it's evident to some extent that having more endurance is a more desirable attribute than just bring a big meathead now. A lot of those big meatheads that could come on and play a solid 20-30 minutes are now looking done after 15 minutes if the ref is handing their opponent extra sets of 6. They just ture quickly and are anchors. Before the introduction of the 6 again rule they weren't showing as much fatigue in 15 minutes and they could be carried.

So I think with us taking on the energetic style closer to the Panthers and making it look dangerous, there will be plenty more coaches looking to emulate it.

I def agree, was more just thinking which rosters were in a position to move in him

I only monitor our own backyard these days. But Parra seem to have lost a lot of troops, St George appear to have cap space and Papa Peptide is always looking for upgrades. Can't think of anyone else that's looking really active in the market outside those two.

CURRAN is a BEAST love the way he plays and chases the ball especially when that grubber goes in and he scores!!!

The Chooks may not "look" active, but they sure as hell are with 10 x Top 30 players to be replaced and ~$3.5m available in their NRL Cap. Then add in the outside the Cap funds freed up at the same time.

They lost JWH and Sitili from their forward pack, I can see them spending a bit of coin to replace them.

Can be a handful, needs developing, worth looking at, good buy for the Rabbits or Tigers

I think HUNT would be a great addition help sexton as well think like he does HUNT is a great halfback smart and with good players around him he is a machine and can play hooker as well I think a HUNT AND BURTON COMBO would be lethal keep sexton he can only get better the more he works on his game.
Not crapping on him but having a halfback like HUNT around him can only help him too and by that time woods will be ready if not woods is already in our top 30

No. No 4 year contracts unless special circumstances. And that usually means a gun player.

Three years is already too much. Two years is the most ideal.
Based on what? Players will go elsewhere if you low-ball them. Sitili came on a 4 year deal so Gus obviously isn't against offering them.
Gus will have a decision to make of everyone else is offering him 4 year deals. People of his age profile are ideal for 4 year contracts.
The issue with 2 year deals is that If he outperforms the deal we don't have him locked in and are stuck renegotiating after the first year anyway.

Agree, they will be among the most active. Would not surprise me if they landed both Cobbo and Staggs with Cobbo moving to FB when Teddy retires.
