Lachlan Galvin here we come

I think if you listen to the 6 tackles with Gus Podcast, you'll probably get the impression that Gus is disappointed in what has happened. He pulled out the Club First, Team Second, and Individual Third with the Dogs and explained how the behaviour shown by Galvin does not fit with the Dogs' Culture. This was not in response to asking if he would go to the dogs; he was generally discussing that it's not the type of behaviour he would want, and he was surprised and disappointed.

Culture is such a massive issue for Gus and the Dogs that he would not use this as a smokescreen. He also said that it would be a red flag for recruitment to other clubs.

Seems like it with the Moses connection and also Ryles being such a good coach especially being a former forward who knows so much about being a ball player thus helping to develop a young one, def not about the manager getting more money!!!
but I thought it,was not so much about money but about his development, so why would he go to the eels?

Yes, I'd imagine they would keep it in house, as Luai should have done. My post openly acknowledged the fact he is brash. That doesn't mean he doesn't know about winning culture.

My comment wasn't about what players should or shouldn't post on socials... it was about this narrative of inmates running the asylum.

How long until his contract ends fam? HAHAHA

The Club has invested very very heavily in Woods, I doubt there is a genuine play on Galvin but nothing would surprise me. The only play that makes sense to me is DCE for 1-2 years, this gives Woods a mentor and gives us a proven elite halfback in a Premiership window but the DCE thing smells of Roosters (very similar to the Cooper Cronk situation).
Signing Galvin does not make, sense. Burton is not moving from his position and he is not, regarded as,a five eighth. lol at,the media, linking him to the dogs because of Gus's glowing comments about him. Galvin will go to the roosters , panthers or,rabbits to be mentored under a good coach

For the money my bro lol, if true though

Luai is a grub.. Its basically bullying Galvin on socials.. along with his moron mate Taruva.. Benji is weak as piss and lets Luai run the club..
Thats why the Tigers will never win anything... no wonder Galvin wants out...
Luai did the same thing 12 months ago... left FOR THE MONEY..
Galvin is just smart enough to know Benji is the worst coach in the NRL and he's more interested in pandering to Luai and his Penrith mates..
lol Lulai saying team first...more like money first...u hypocrit....

I honestly feel like we're on the brink of a premiership, the squad seem united. I hope we wouldn't sign this bloke just because of the media frenzy that comes with him, it'll also destabilize morale.

He's a talent no doubt but let's focus on the present.

Exactly honestly team unity is everything in footy. That is just absolute reality, Luai knows it he’s come from a culture that works.
Yeah. funny how some take umbrage to criticism of Galvin that's relatively mild on here, but are happy to run with the Benji is incompetent and senior players at the Tigers are toxic narrative lol.

I think there's probably two sides to it. For Galvin to say he wants to leave the joint in front of teammates while still 2.5 years away from the end of his contract suggests a bit of an attitude to me.... it's not the sort of thing teams need in dressing rooms after heavy defeats. And the fact he is walking now without even edntertaining the Tigers' offer suggests it wasn't just an expression of frustration and he meant it.

That being said, I don't think his own teammates should be dragging him on social media.

Anyway, whether you like his methods of expressing himself, or not, I think Luai is trying to build a winning culture there and if he felt Galvin genuinely wanted to be a part of that, he wouldn't be trying to push him away. He's a footy player and he didn't come to the Tigers to lose. Why would he want to force out a kid with so much talent if there wasn't a reason for it?

I can't see Galvin staying at the Tigers for more than another month. Talk is that it's a done deal at Parra. Question is can a 4 way deal be done so we get Thompson in the next month or two? Galvin to Parra, Brown to Knights, Thompson to us, then the only thing left on the puzzle is we release a player to the Tigers. We could have given them Amone...

I would be willing to bet that there's more to this than we are getting told either him and BENJI or him and LUILI have had a fallout or both. One thing I don't get is why the players are slagging him mainly the ex-PENRITH players if it is him wanting more money they left for exactly the same reason MONEY. Anyone who thinks it's not about the money just imagine say your job is paying you 2 grand a week and BILLY BIG BALLS says hey you want to earn an extra grand a week. Maybe the kid is a fair dinkum turd but it's all a bit sus. On one hand I feel sorry for the young fulla and hope he has good people around him he is only 19

Tiger have dealt with this terribly and I hope Galvin's manager can use this (unfair dropping) and other Tiger players bullying him to get a release asap. They are already talking to the RLPA. Galvin is allowed to say he believes another club and coach will be better for his development (there are no quotes from Galvin saying Benji is a shit coach), plenty of players leave to go join Storm for e.g. now if Galvin goes and joins another average team like Eel then he was full of shit and can cop it.

The kid has done nothing wrong , he rejected a deal from the club and the club went to the media with their press release. The Tigers started this shit

Tigers don't own him , Galvin doesn't have to renew his contract , what a load of bullshit from the media picking on this kid

He did Tiger a solid if anything giving them 18 months or so to find a replacement/manage their top 30. In hindsight should he of dragged them along like Utoikamanu did the year before? Like Dylan Brown at Eel? They're just being salty.
