That might be true, though whoever is advising and brainwashing him needs to go, not just for his career but as a man
The issue from my side isn't only Galvin or even the manager. It's more so the club's like the Knights that are prepared to throw stupid money around on players who aren't worth it.
What it's done this whole Brown saga is that it's created a completely unrealistic and unsustainable market. It's not possible for clubs to be able to pay that type of money on individual players for that length of time.
But ... players see that. They hear Brown explaining why he left the club that made him to go to the Knights. Financial security. An offer top good to be true.
And it makes sense to players who see it. Of course it does. League might give them a 10 career if they're lucky, so any money they make it going to priceless.
I don't think enough has been made of clubs throwing that kind of money at youngsters. People are lauding the tigers for offering him a mil a season. Why? That's too much as it is!
If they had the proper set up behind scenes and all of that they wouldn't need to offer such stupid money.
Yeah, I get he's super talented and supposedly the next superstar. Cool. But he could easily not be.
And that kind of money will make it more likely he's not as he won't be playing for the love of the game, but the dollar.
The Tigers are as much to blame for this mess as his manager. He's been I'll advised all around.
I bet you that Gus would never offer Woods or any of our exciting youngsters a mil a year. Not even Galvin. Because he knows what money does to our youth.
They need to work for that pay rise, not be given it in the early years. Money is a disease for our young players.
