Lachlan Galvin here we come

But DV that's exactly what we've been praising Ciro for and his exceptional qualities of developing players and we've been saying now we can pick and chose bc they'll all want to come to us now. Because of our great coach.

I can't bag the kid if he can see the same benefits of a great coach that we can.

(Not saying he's coming here..in fact I cant see a spot for him with all the halves we have undrr development)...just pointing out the benefits of a great coach.
I do understand and have no problems with the reason, it's the method that I have a problem with,
I certainly would hate seeing it happening to us, I am sure you'd agree.
We did came very close to signing Luai until the Tigpies came in with an extraordinary offer,
Do you think Gus is holding grudges ?

It’s one thing to say I’m not staying or I’m not ready to commit

It’s another thing shitting on the coach that’s made him a million dollar player at 19 when you have 18months to go on your contract

It’s like Dylan Brown shitting on Ryles before he left, he didn’t and people accepted it so did his team mates

That’s how it’s different, he shit on the coach to try and force them to offload him he knew it would be untenable, Moses the mastermind, I hope tigers stick to thier guns and it blows up in thier face

That's where a good agent would instruct a young kid how to handle the situation.

The Coach didn't make him a million dollar player, the talent is inside the kid in the first place. I have no opinion on what he's worth tbh. The NRL player market is overpriced and wrong. But yes, obviously the Tigers gave him an opportunity, no denying it. Every club does that.

I'm not believing much of what is being reported to be honest. Saying this about the coach etc. There is a lot of parasites leeching themselves off the game to make money and keep themselves relevant. Ex-players, so called journo's and agents with agendas.

Regardless every year we hear players say they want to move to a different club for better opportunities and Coaches. Also every year we see players or clubs trying to get out of contracts using all the different methods.

Luai coming out would have to be the biggest piss take out of all of this though. A bloke posting a team first meme to have a go at the kid while he is in his first year at a new team (for money) and has a get out clause apparently for each year he's their.... lol Team first!!

Tigers are just Butt hurt that players want to be somewhere else for their future. Maybe they need to ask themselves why this has happened non stop for a very long time?

Anyways, I think the kid has been very poorly represented and is now being thrown to the hypocritical wolves. Not cool tbh.

Agree the agent has led them down a bad path

Disagree coach and club had nothing to do with his development this is a kid that has talent but was also someone who Parramatta didn’t see a future in they developed him they gave him a shot when others wouldn’t , he would not be in the position he is in without them

Nah I agree the club developed him etc but at the end of the day, the talent is there or it isn't. His talent is his, not Benji's or the clubs.

We have a few in this current team that heaps of other club's saw no future in. Every man and their dog was laughing at our team of utilities.

Either way, I knew nothing at 19. I don't think this is as bad as the witch hunt that this kid is attracting!

Grudges against Luai, Tigers or both? :grinning:

I don't think Gus would let a situation like this spiral out of control with what the Tigers have uncontrollably let unravel.

Total spiteful shambles.

It’s only because he’s got so long left on his contract that it’s playing out this way. They could’ve said “cheers, great offer, leave it with us” but that wouldn’t have got him out early, or likely mid season now.
Instead they ran with “ don’t bother revising the offer - we won’t be reviewing it” or whatever the fuck they said.
That was only going to go one way and seems to have served its purpose. Good luck to him but fuck he’ll have a target on his back from now on.

I reckon that's exactly how it played out. A handshake deal is already done with another club. My guess is Manly, as they need a DCE replacement and Galvin has all the same attributes. He also has Seibold's manager.

He's been in 1st grade for a short amount of time & thinks he knows it all
Looking from the outside, it seems like he has brainless parents along with a shady player agent everybody knows about

lol funny fuckers. Don’t want him anywhere near our joint, but if they did release him early and we went after him, we wouldn’t him to give them shit.
Also, love how we’re either rorting the cap or paying unders depending on the narrative lol.

good chance Kikau won't be extended after his current contract with the kids/young forwards we have coming through and his age/amount of money he's going to want to earn to finish his career. Tiger are going to want someone for Galvin and they obviously are going to want someone decent.

I was honestly all in on bashing Galvin and Moses over this but after some thought ...

Why? I mean, what did they actually do wrong?

It seems as though he's asked to released a number of times, not just this year. Right?

The old CEO or whoever at the Tigers said this, and said it's no surprise he wants to leave.

So him leaving isn't a surprise, right?

The timing is though. Agree.

Moses tells the Tigers they want to test the market, and I think they'd be stupid not to. Of course they have to.

But then the Tigers jump the gun and say he's gone for sure?

Who's at fault here? Surely it's the Tigers management. They closed the door almost immediately... did they need to?
My thoughts exactly.
If the Tigers could keep their firty laundry behind closed doors this would be a non event.
They released the statement letting the world know even though Galvin isn't free to negotiate til November. It's madness. Up there with congratulating a former player on making their nrl finals debut after 10 years of no finals with them.
The pile on from the media is over the top as well.

Parra or Manly can have him.

I've said this in one of the many threads and I agree. What's the difference with this and the multiple ones every year?

Honestly the reason is and no-one is saying is, that tigers keep losing all their talent and everyone feels sorry for them. Well that seems to be a front office issue and boo hoo. I'm mean, get fukin professional and players might stay!

No integrity whatsoever.
But what's happened here though?

Maybe I'm missing something, but wasn't he simply saying that he wanted to test the market Nov 1st?

I get that the Tigers have made him and he owes them something. But I think after that Brown move players have no true idea of their worth on the market, so naturally they're all eager to see what they can get.

How do they even know anymore what's a good deal after that ridiculous Brown move? The Knights have set him up for life so all players will be thinking the same as Galvin.

Woods and the other young lads at the Dogs will be doing the same. It's just a sign of the times.

I agree Galvin should stay but he's gotta test the market and see if what he's being offered at the Tigers is right.

Whats he done wrong in this? Gone to the media? Complained about Benji?

I mean, he'd already asked to leave 2-3 time previously so the club knew his position already. If they offered him that deal without resolving past shit then ...

Personally based on what I've read and seen, the Tigers have once again absolutely ballsd it up. Comical imo how they've dealt with in telling the world he's no longer welcome at the club.

Fucking love it. Fuck them.

A 19 year old kid gets offered 5 million over 5 years plus an upgrade for this year and next that pushes it over six million from the club that gave him a start in first grade and then built a side around him because he wasn’t happy with the playing group but was still happy to sign his last contract for the right money. The point people are missing is that he didn’t tell the tigers he was going to test the market at the end of his contract which he is more than entitled to do ,his manager told the the club they where not even going to entertain an offer from the club regardless of what it was and then tried to roll out a list of grievances against the coach as the reason. I would be filthy if I was the tigers, they have bent over backwards to facilitate this kid and his managers every whim and they have paid it back by spitting in their face. I hope they make the little prick play reserve grade until the last day of his contract. Anyway mate I am sick of talking about this flop and his management, bring on Friday.

I must've missed that as I seem to remember it being released that he'd check the market in November, then the whole thing about them not wanting to have anything to do with the Tigers came after the Tigers announcement?

I'm with you though. Don't give a shit and personally don't care. The only club for me that's the right choice for him is the Dogs but he ain't coming here, so he should've just stayed at the Tigers.

Fuck him and fuck the rest of the inbred ***** out that way.

Bring on the Dogs
