He wasn't the main playmaker in 2023, Sean O'Sullivan was. Katoa played mainly 6 or a few games off the bench. He was even dropped from the team completely.
Lol i can't read. It said 2024 he played 22 games not 2023. The way the Wikipedia article is written confused me. Anyways doesn't matter lol both young both good

My initial thoughts, Galvin to play 14 for a few wks while Mann involved with QLD SOO, and then slot into 7 when our full squad is available. Sexy to sign elsewhere and maybe seek mid year release. Galvin to 7 by end of year and I’m ok with that, I’m not worried about the ‘traditional’ 7&6 roles in the modern game, CC and Gus will work out how Galvin/Burton combo works. Galvin at 7 won’t hurt Woods development, if Woods is good enough then he’ll force his way into FG and realistically is a couple years away and Galvin is ready now. Reed probably leaves end of season and Hayward transitions into the 9.

Yeah mate we have to trust that this is the right call and I could be completely wrong but this kid has all the hallmarks of being a total flop for mine and I can live with that, my main concern is how this affects the attitude of the current playing group.
This crazy season just got more crazy, strap in my bro, let's ride!

I won't believe it till it's up on the Bulldogs site.
Fingers crossed, and if it's true, Gal will also need to do some growing up, we are a different team and club to the poor old Magtiges...

In fairness to the kid, did you see how he played the week after he was dropped? He looked like he was happy and at ease on the field with his team mates, even though several of them dissed him publicly only a week earlier. That shows guts and maturity to me. He put all the drama aside and got on with his job and looked pretty much like every other week.

Isn’t there a seven day cooling off period once they sign contract? So might not be announced for a week

1. Cooper cronk is a manufactured half.

2. Jahrome Hughes is a manufactured half

3. Halves don't come into their own until midway through their careers, doesn't matter much to us as all our halves are young
Manufactured over years. They both possessed the qualities of a game manager. Galvin like Burton are runners. The skill of organising isn’t just a learnt thing. There is a lot of natural instincts involved. Maybe I’m wrong but I haven’t seen this in Galvin at all.

If this is the plan wtf are we doing with Woods? Are we saying he isn’t it?

This is a high risk play from the club. Team culture and the brotherhood amongst the boys has been threatened.

would it put your mind at ease knowning it wasn't the dollars he left for but for development?

Because he kinda proved it twice now knocking back more money.
So you're telling me he thinks he's gunna develop more as a half under Jason Taylor than Benji?

Smoke and mirrors bro. Right way and wrong way to do things. This is not the right way.

You see how he played last week?

I'd trust you more than Benji. Thats not a jab at you, Benji isn't a coaches arsehole.

My main gripe with him is when he said "I can't wait to leave this team" last year. That's all on him.

This year's abortion is all on the tigpies and their incompetent admin and Moses leaking to the media.

So he will be @ 1 or 6 ? I’m guessing 6 so Burton to fullback then?

Not about the Tigs. More about players holding their clubs to ransom. Sign a contract. Stick to it.

What was it? Club first, team second, player third? And we're supposedly about to sign a player mid season because he rolls the other way?

Again bro - doesn't sit well with me.
So galvin didn't want to extend with the tigers he said no to 5 million cause he wanted to be developed into a start, richo then fked himself and the club with his post and his manager was smart enough to see the mistake and get him out, then the eels offer him apparently close to a million and galvin decides to come to us for 750, even tho he's a die hard eels fan. I love it!

I FUCKING HATE THIS NEWS - AND HATE THIS LITTlE TWAT - as you all know and I’ve made clear lol. However, if Gus an CC want him an think he’s good for the club now and going forward- then I will give hik
Full support now that he is a BULLDOG and wear the blue an white - he took less money. Obviously WANTED to play here - and that’s what we want - players whom want to be here, so that deserves a little respect.

Good luck Galvin - and don’t fuck me off and disrupt want we have going here, fit in a work hard. You get the BENEFIT of the doubt… until you don’t.
I hated the Montoya signing. Sometimes you just gotta trust those paid the big bucks…. Time will tell
